Darn it! So we had to change our venue which meant switching dates. This really isnt a huge problem overall…except that I already had ordered personalized sandelwood fans with our names and date. There are 100 of them – engraved no less. How can I cover the date only without it looking home made??
Below is a picture of a similiar fan, just so you can see the engraved part. I thought about busting out the hot glue gun and using some lace on it, but will it look crappy? I guess we’ll see. In the mean time, if you have any ideas, I would really appreciate it.

Sticker with new wedding date that’s in the wedding colors? I think I wouldn’t use lace without a backing because you can see through it, but other than that it would look good.

I would use a woodburning tool. You can make a kind of design out of it. They are about $10 at a local hardware store.

You could use ribbon in your wedding colors. Run a strip of ribbon down to the base (fold over on each end so it looks “neat”).
Or get some of those tiny little flowers in the craft store (the ones that the whole bouquet is only about 4″ big) and glue a couple flowers over the date.
