I could really use your help. I am totally clueless about what the groomsman, junior ushers, and ring bearers should wear. We have a June wedding but it is at night and formal. Our palette is very soft and pastel, but I’m guessing we have to go with black tuxes? I had orginally been picturing medium or dark gray suits but how do you coordinate that- does everyone go and rent the same suit? How/where do we rent and do the groomsman pay or do we pay? I have no idea how this works…please help…
here is a pic of my inspiration board for the ladies if that helps…colors are gray, dusty shale (kind of a dull minty color), and peach…my dress is ivory…

also the guys rent their own tuxes. it is usually a lot cheaper than buying a bm dress! also you can say black tux and let them rent it wherever they want, and then if they get a better deal somewhere or own one they can wear what they have/ want. sometimes you get a free one if you rent 6 or something and we decided if we got it we would give it to my hubby and divide the savings out among the boys as an extra discount. we had a decent experience at mens warehouse. my baby bro is 6’9” (yeah I know!) and they fit him easily.

My Fiance is wearing his nice black suit for our daytime June wedding, and we’ve asked the Groomsmen to either buy/rent gray slacks and a gray vest to wear with a white shirt.

My wedding is late May and the groomsmen are wearing light gray tuxes and white vests. Black felt too heavy for spring. We’re renting them! From Jim’s Formal Wear.

I think the most classic look is similar but not identical, so you could do suits or tuxes, either one. Don’t worry about matching the suits, as long as they are all solid or all striped (though stripes are pretty business-y), and all in a similar color (I love medium gray!). Some rental places will stock suits, but you might also ask what is already in their closets or could they use a suit anyway. If you go to Men’s Warehouse on sale or look for a coupon, they could pay about the same as a bridesmaid, which seems fair to me! Then buy them ties as a present and give them matching boutonnieres; they’ll look sharp!

We’re doing gray tuxes because the venue is formal but the girls are wearing tea-length and it is taking place later in afternoon in June. I think black tuxes could end up looking too over-done if it’s not evening and a super fancy venue.

My Future In-Laws have very gratiously decided to purchase suits for the groom and groomsmen (his two brothers + 1 friend). We are probably going to get them from JCPenny once the spring line comes out. Theyre really affordable, plus they double as a gift for being an attendant in the wedding party.
EDIT: They will be light tan suits.

We’re going to have the guys wear medium grey suits & we will buy the ties as part of their gifts… my colors are navy & pink & the black next to navy just bothered me for some reason. We’re planning on a relatively casual June wedding.

We went with khaki suits-unfortunately you cannot rent those. We went with Jos A Balways they always have some sort of sale so we waited until the $695 suits (definitely not 695 quality bc they over price everything) were available for $175-200. tux rentals were about 140-200 for m y Fiance during his friends weddings so we thought it was fair for them to pay even a little more for a suit they could keep! They will be wearing light blue shirts of their choosing and will providing ties for them as their groomsmen gift.
