tm6173:  awesome I am so glad that you’re going to keep it! Im sad that some people are hating on this dress because it really is clean and simple and so elegant even though it is tight but it’s just so different and not your typical bridal dress which is what I was going for. I think you look great!

I ordered like 5 pairs of spanx and tried them all under this dress and finally found one that I liked… They aren’t high cut (which turns out is really hard to find but with the lace back it was showing!) and they fo halfway down my thigh. You can actually kind of make out the very bottom of the spanx but because of the ruching it sort of blends in. Thats all I’m planning to wear! How about you? My first alterations appt is Saturday so I’m also planning to get cups sewn in and a bustle!

Anyone who can pull off that dress should go for it! Buy a long dramatic veil or shrug for the church, if you’re really worried. It’ll be kinda two different dresses without the price.

I like it with the long veil!  The overskirt might be pretty too, but I worry it would cause major static cling when you try to take it off and that would not be a good look!

tm6173:Β  I’m so intrigued by this shapewear! It has straps right? Are they clear?? Can you see it? I bougth just a pair of shorts and i agree X 100 that I look SO MUCH better with the shapewaer on! You look great in both pics but the shapewear helps smooth everything out!Β

tm6173:  keep your dress! It looks great. Even before the shape wear it looked perfect. I vote going for the long flowing veil during the ceremony. But other than that I wouldn’t change it.

tm6173:  damn! If I were you honestly I would just cut a hole in the crotch area. I dont see how you are going to go all night without peeing hahah. I just can’t hold it that long what can I say I’m weak. That’s awesome about the straps though. I go to my first alterations appt this week. I really just want cups sewn in but I’m going to see what they say… if thats not possible I might try this! Thank you!

PS when is your wedding!?

tm6173:  Oh well, it’s pretty hard to pee in a wedding dress anyway. I would NOT recommend adding a hole in the crotch — I’ve been there with some off-brand shapewear, and it ripped up the rest of the seam (even after I put stabilzing stitches in) in one use.

I love that photo with the veil. I also love love love overskirts. Either would look amazing, because you look amazing in that dress. But the veil also covers the upper back/shoulders, and gives a more traditional/bridal feel automatically, thus appeasing the most people, in theory.
