The postcards are a great idea if you can fit it in your budget. A week before my RSVP date, I sent out emails and had some helpers contact their family members to make sure they send in their cards. It worked out for us as we received all the responses back for 290 people.

My advice is to wait until a few days after your RSVP date and then start calling people who have not responded in time. I don’t think a follow-up postcard is necessary. You can divide up the calling between your parents, FI’s parents and you and Fiance. Generally I would say a family friend of the ILs should be contacted by your ILs, your friends should be contacted by you etc…

    Good luck!

I think reminder postcards are a great idea AND you can get 100 FREE postcards from Vistaprint.com. I’m using them for my RSVP postcards.

When is your RSVP date?  We had tons of cards come back the week of the due date.

look the only time to worry is when your RSVP date has expired! if you wanted an earlier response you should have moved up the RSVP date. when the rsvp date has expired, a friendly email is always great 🙂

I would wait until you get closer to the RSVP date just to be safe.  Honestly, I’m worried that people who didn’t send the RSVP back probably wouldn’t respond to a postcard either.  I would either email or call them to find out for sure what is going on.

oh now that its tomorrow, postcards are always cute! but a phonecall would be a little more practical and a bit quicker! did any of the invites get lost by the postal service, because that happened to one bride on here earlier today!

Phone calls and e-mails might be more efficient…because what if they STILL don’t respond to your second postcard? Eek!

You need to pick up the phone and start calling anyone who hasn’t rsvp’ed to find out what is going on.

postcards sound cute but not efficient. If time is an issue, you need instant feedback use a phone and/or email. An email reminder may be all you need to get people to send back their RSVP cards!
