You don’t have to be totally specific in regards to the gift. You could say something like, “Thank you so much for coming to my shower and for the generous gift! The towels will come in so handy in our new home!” That’s just an example, but I think the focus is more on how grateful you are and how you’ll use the gift than having to be totally specific about the gift.

I am working on my Thank Yous now, and I think that the most important thing is that they 1) actually be sent out and 2) be sent out in a timely manner as people do pay attention. I’ve seen numerous threads here where Bees got confronted about not doing Thank Yous or doing them late.

@Plum_mer: are the items off a registry?

Some stores like Macys offer a thank you card manager.  The manager basically keeps a list of who bought what.
