We used glue dots to attach the little name card on our pocketfolds.  They def. hold tight, but they ended up ripping the outside of a the pocketfold a big.  So if you have to attach it to what ends up being the RSVP, that probably won’t work.

What about gluestick?

No duct tape!  Maybe tie a red ribbon around it?

If you do use the clear sticky stuff, remember that it will be sitting squished in an envelope, which will probably help it to stick and stay closed.  I think that or the ribbon would work great.

@78science:  I think the rubber cement smell will ruin it.  The image was going to be ripped off with the clear seals anyway, right?

I think you can buy these glue dots that will kind of rub off at any craft store.  It’s like rubber cement but not smelly!

cut wrapping paper ribbon in colors to match is your friend!!!  or vellum paper cut in strips to match also – use a sticker seal in the same colors  to hold it together (you can find them on zazzle too!)  ๐Ÿ™‚

FYI, rubber cement doesn’t smell after it’s dried (I used it for putting together my pocketfolds).  Ribbon or wax seal sounds like a lovely idea but I need another pic or two of the invitation to really understand the issue.

How long do you have before you have to send them out? If you stack them up and put them under some weight (heavy books or something) for a while, it might flatten everything out enough so that the clear stickers will keep them closed. Seal them all up, then press them — that way the sticker will really adhere. Even just doing it overnight might do the trick!
