I bought my wedding dress earlier this year. I don’t really follow fashion much and I just tend to wear what I fancy, in my job a lot of my colleagues tend to dress mainly in grey, brown, navy and black which is fine and everyone has their own style but I see so many dark colours that I like to wear bright and light colours, particularly as I work with kids and young people and I feel like they should be surrounded by colour! (That might sound really daft I know, but I do).
When I tried my dress on I absolutely loved it and and felt so special in it so bought it straight away but now I’m starting to worry that it’s so white and that it could just be any other wedding dress. I know that not all wedding dresses are the same but I’m a bit of a tomboy and as I’m not massively into fashion or clothes I don’t always notice the difference between dresses the way that my friends seem to. It makes me a bit paranoid that my dress is just your standard white dress when I would like to be wearing something that is really special because this is my one big day. What do other bees think? Is it ok as it is or is there some way that I could inject some colour into it? I know I could wear coloured flowers in my hair or something but I like the idea of there being colour somewhere in the actual dress but I’m not sure where or how and then also worried that I would just destroy the dress by doing that. Feeling a bit torn. Any suggestions?
Just to add, the jacket in the photo isn’t sitting neatly and it still needs taken in around my thighs.
Thanks in advance.

It’s very beautiful! Definitely not boring! The lace design is very intricate and elegant. I think it’s a very beautiful dress as is.

It’s not another boring dress, it’s yours and it is beautiful! The whiteness makes it look fresh and vibrant. I love the lace edging. It’s very special and I love how the edging is repeated above the knee and then around the hem. You look great! A splash of colour with the flowers and you will feel and look amazing.

I think it’s lovely and not boring.
I also think wtih the level of detail and cut of your dress, it might be hard to incorporate color into the dress without some major change (like say, dyeing it or something). I mean, you *could* purchase a colored ribbon belt and it might look great, but my suspicion is that with the neckline of your dress, the lace, the sweetheart, and the trumpet skirt, it will chop up your body too much and start to look fussy. I think that plain white is what you want because there’s so much detail going on in the dress otherwise.
But it looks fantastic on you and is a beautiful choice!
Buy some colored underwear and let it be your secret 🙂

I second PP – the dress is gorgeous! If you want some color, try adding colored accessories – belt, jewelery, shoes, etc.

I don’t think it’s boring at all!!! Why don’t you inject colour with your flowers or bridesmaid dresses or even your shoes? I think it’s a gorgeous dress and it looks stunning on you!

Thanks for all the comments ladies! You’ve made me feel much better about it.
BothCoasts I love the idea of the secret coloured underwear! Haha.
I’ve decorated my shoes (in my own childish way) so that will be my little bit of hidden colour as well although maybe when I’m walking they might peep out at times so you will catch a little glimpse of the colour. This is them-
