I totally understand NO white dress, however tomorrow I’ll be wearing a dress (burnt orange color) to a wedding. I might wear these new wedges that have ivory lace (totally not in your face type shoe or ivory) and I figured since it’ll be more casual/out in the country I’d wear a cardigan. I have 2 black ones (I’d then wear black flats) or my white carigan (more of egg shell color). Is a white cardigan ok to wear?? I appologize if this question is dumb.

for sure! I’d only be worried if you were wearing a plain white dress. You’ll be fine

I’m biased because I wore a white suit jacket over an orange dress to a wedding this year. I can 1000000% confirm that no one mistook me for the bride 😉

white/cream accessories and jackets etc are totally fine, and have probably been at every wedding I’ve ever been to. The whole ‘don’t wear a big white dress’ rule has become totally insane to the point where people are worried they can’t wear shoes with ivory on them!

Be absolutely certain that you are NOT wearing white underwear- a horrific offense to the bride, and especially to the best man’s sister in law. Be very VERY careful……..
OP, your question was not a single bit dumb. The topic….?
