I’m getting married in Westchester on 11.28.14! And I’m almost all set.. I just need a few things! I have some places to call but I’m looking for more suggestions.
These are the things I have all planned already:
Venue: Cortlandt Colonial Manor
Hair: Veronica Bizzaro
Makeup: Kimberly Jackson
Video: Strictly Video Productions
Photo: Ricky Restiano Photography
DJ: DJMG (DJ Mike Guliano)
Dress: David’s Bridal (first fitting Saturday!!)
Shoes: Nordstroms (Badgley Mischka.. LOVE THEM)
Bridesmaid Dresses: David’s Bridal
Wedding Invitations: In the mail
Hotel Block: Set up at the Holiday Inn in Peekskill
Things I still need:
Limos! We are going to take all of our pictures before our ceremony and I need a limo for 3/4 hours for 12 people. What is a good price for this?? I’ve made a few calls but still looking.
Wedding Officiant! We are going to meet with someone next week but just want back up. We want someone who has a good personality, short ceremony, we are including my future stepdaughter in the ceremony, as well as a memorial candle for my father.
Flowers! I have one place to check out but looking for a few more suggestions. I do not want to spend a lot on flowers.

SoontobeMrsKCee: I don’t live there but I can tell a limo service will run you anywhere from 60-80/hr. Usually they have a minimum of 3-5 hours depending on the company.
Also, if you are just hiring a rando, check out tumbtack.com for your officiant. We used it and got about 10 responses/quotes. We ended up choosing an older man who completely customizes the ceremony for you and is $180 including rehearsal and consult. It ranged from 100-400 though.

texaslemon: Thank you. Westchester, New York prices are much higher. I’m finding limos for 4 hours are running me $800+ plus tax and tip.
We did find our officiant. He was $400 which is also much cheaper then the $800-1200 I’ve been finding elsewhere.

SoontobeMrsKCee: That is crazy. I live in Houston so the prices are high as well, but the highest I was quoted for an officiant was $500. The cheapest limo service would have cost us $800+ for four hours, as well. I am having my sister drive me to the venue (she has a brand new Explorer, tons of room and it’s nice and clean). My other BMs are carpooling themselves. They don’t care. No one will see us anyway. I am focusing on finding a nice ride for the getaway car. Saves a ton of money this way.

$800 is about what it costs for a nice wedding limo. Unfortunately you have to pay for 4 hours- we only used ours for about an 1.5, but we had to pay for the full 4.
If you aren’t so picky on a super fancy limo with fancy service (ours had a red carpet entrance, champange toasts, ridiculously fancy interior, and the traiditional white exterior), you can get a regular black limo or just rent a really nice car for much less. That is what I wanted to do, but it turns out that was the one thing my husband really cared about, so we splurged for him 🙂
