After my seamstress fitted my dress, it seemed like my chest was popping out more than I had anticipated. Being a very modest person by nature, I felt very comfortable wearing my strapless dress and had a hard time imagining I would be comfortable wearing it like that on my wedding day.
Even when I had first started shopping for dresses I was looking for one with sleeves and a peephole back. After trying on 50 some dresses and not being able to find one with a peep hole back that I liked and complimented my body, I gave in and bought this beautifully designed lace dress. Only problem is, it is not good for someone like me who has size DD chest and is very busty. So now my seamstress gave me the option of adding some straps. I like both the tulle and the lace straps that she has offered to add for me but cannot decide! The lace looks gorgeous in the front, but appears very heavy in the back and leaves kind of an awkward half-peep hole shape. Its like it wants to be a peep hole but is not because the dress was not designed that way. I also like the tulle but wonder if it just looks plain/boring, takes away from the dress a bit? What are your thoughts???

Flower on Lace straps would be removed!

The tulle is beautiful! I think it compliments the dress beautifully, where the lace looks heavy and a bit dated. I’d go with the tulle for sure!

I like the shape of the lace with the look of the tulle. The tulle gets wider toward the bottom whereas the lace is wider at the top. I think the lace takes away from your dress, but the shape of the tulle straps isn’t as flattering. Would tulle straps that are wider at the top and narrower at the bottom be possible?

If you’re looking for something to draw attention away from your bust, I think you should go with the lace straps. They draw the eye towards your shoulders.

Lace! It’s beautiful and it looks like it belongs with the dress. The tulle looks like an after thought.
If you do tulle, what about a one shoulder like this one:

Ooh definitely lace! Pretty!

Tulle. It’s classic and beautiful. IMHO, the lace is distracting (changes the shape, but if that’s the shape you like, more power to you!).

I actually like the lace better. The tulle seems out of place (in terms of material).

I like the lace and feel like it gives the desired effect.

LOVE the tulle! The lace is a pretty common look, while the tulle is unique and really dreamy!

The lace looks way better. The tulle makes it look off balanced, very bottom heavy. I think the lace keeps it balanced and actually makes you look taller and thinner. What about lace but not as wide if that is an issue?

I prefer the lace, it looks like it shoudl actually be part of the dress, to me the tulle doesn’t fit your dress. To each their own!
