@Adams_bee:  Eh, don’t sweat it.

Have you lined up an officiant yet?  We had a judge perform our ceremony; he had scripts for us to choose from.  We didn’t really have to plan any of the ceremony part, really.

@Adams_bee:  Our officiant gave us alot of guidance – I would ask whoever is performing the ceremony for help!

@Adams_bee:  Having a civil ceremony does not mean you need to plan the whole thing. I’ve never heard of someone HAVING to plan their ceremony. Some brides decide to because they want to plan out every last detail, but nobody HAS to. Unless you have no officient I guess, but it sounds like you do, so let them take care of it. That’s what you’re paying them for.

As mentioned, your officiant should have sample scripts for you to look at and perhaps use.  I wrote our whole ceremony, but that was because we wanted something genuine and personal. I looked online for wording examples and ceremony order, but for the most part include phrases that had meaning to us. We’re including a handfasting ritual and apache blessing into our civil ceremony. It just took me an evening to write the whole thing out, just need to fine tune it 🙂

There is a bee blogger who wrote out her whole ceremony and it’s a great example. You have the other details worked out, so you’re more than halfway there. Good luck!
