My friends had their similar sized wedding at Le Nordik in Chelsea (it’s super close to Ottawa). It’s really beautiful, full of greenery and you have access to the spa for amazing pics and the food was to die for.

I agree with Strathmere, it’s beautiful. I’ve been to a few weddings there!  Just be careful in May/June because the mosquitos were horrible – it’s right next to a big field – but later in the summer you should be fine.  Not sure if your date is finalized yet.

You can also check out Stonefield heritage farm – totally gorgeous.

Have you looked at golf courses?  We are getting married at the Canadian golf and country club, have been thrilled with the service and everything so far.

Museum of Nature, now that it’s renovated, also has a great set up for weddings!

There’s a golf course in Barrhaven that I went to a wedding at a few years ago which was nice. I think it was called Stonebridge – it was definitely Stone-something. It was nice outside – a few trees near the main building and lots of greenery around.

We originally looked at Stanley’s Olde Maple Farm – just outside Ottawa. It looked really nice but a bit outside our price range.

I also know there’s an Agriculture Museum and although I’ve never seen it, I would assume there would be some green space around it.

When I was looking for a venue I loved the idea of outdoorsy places like Stonefields and Stanley’s however I was so turned off by the inflated prices.

Billings Estate Museum is right in town (altavista/Bank area) and has a beautiful garden and estate home backdrop for an outdoor wedding. They also provide tents as a backup. This is where Fiance and I chose for our ceremony, at $150/hr. Further you can quite easily bring in your own food and alcoholic drink – which was a must for us. We are having our reception a few minutes away in the Glebe. If you choose to have your wedding AND reception there, however sounds systems need to be turned off at 11pm (so unfortunate!)
