Let me start off by saying I realize that I realize her dress is an Oscar de la Renta and must have cost thousands of dollars, but I am totally in love with Jenna Bush’s wedding gown. I’m a teacher and my budget is pretty small, but does anyone know where I could get a replica/knock-off? My sister suggested one from David’s Bridal, but it is covered in beading. I love lace but without the shimmer of beads and fake pearls. Thanks, bees!
Here are some photos of her gown:

Good luck hunting! I don’t have a suggestion in mind, but just want to say I also love her dress. I think a lot of designers/companies make variations on the lace v-neck, so hopefully you will find something similar in your budget!

My best advice is when you go dress shopping, bring a photo of the dress and say you want something similar, v-kneck, lace, no bling. And make sure to give a price range so you arent trying on what you dont want to spend. Good luck!

Take pictures of the dress to a local seamstress and have it custom made to fit you.

@brideatbeach: I know exactly which one you are talking about from David’s. I’ve not looked at it up close so I didn’t realize it was beaded also. Is the beading really something you cannot live with – because it’s darn near the same cut and style as what you are looking for…

I’m totally with you on the beading, but it seems that unfortunately, a lot of lace dresses have that. I tried looking, and I couldn’t find much. The only similar dresses I saw were either too expensive or had too much shimmer. Have you tried the DB dress on?

@christalynn11, you are right. I think I may go and try it on at the store. The worst thing that can happen is I don’t like it, right? 🙂

Thanks, manda21. 🙂 No, I haven’t. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC; the nearest DB store is about an hour away. My parents live a few hours away and a DB is conveniently next to them, so I may kill 2 birds with one stone and go up and see them this coming weekend!
Do you guys think the beading on the dress would cheapen the look too much, though? I would rather get a different style dress without lacy detailing and look classy than try too hard to replicate the one I like when I can’t afford to do so…

It is a gorgeous dress. It does look quite similar to one that my daughter was considering from David’s Bridal.

I totally get your wish for lace without beading – I LOVE the lace on my dress, but it was lace with beading that put me off buying a similar dress.
I don’t know what your budget is, but a really good place to look is La Sposa/San Patrick/Pronovias – they have lots of lace dresses, usually sans beading. I gather that San Patrick is the most budget-friendly. It’s worth looking for these second hand, too, as they’ve been doing them for a while.
Otherwise, I’d like to take a moment (again!) to big up Enzoani – I love their stuff! They have two ranges, Enzoani, and Blue by Enzoani – the second is cheaper (where mine is from) but both are amazing, and use lots of lace.
Watters also have some non-beaded lacy gowns you might like (I’ve gone a bit picture mad, I’m afraid – I love lace dresses!)

I totally love Jenna Bush’s dress and I was also looking for something similar and cheap. See this thread I started a couple months ago.
I ended up wearing Jacqulin Exclusive 9532. It is different in that is has sleeves, the back is all lace with crystal buttons, and there are some sequins on it, but it has the same overall shape as Jenna’s dress. I’ve attached the model picture and a picture of me in it. I totally loved the dress and it is around $1000.

The David’s Bridal dress pictured above was my dress. It was “inspired by” the Jenna Bush dress. Really, the bodice has some beading but as you go further down the dress, it’s VERY minimal. I loved (love) it. Got lots of compliments. And I think because I got it in champagne with ivory lace, lots of people thought it looked vintage.

The DB dress is the one I almost got. I wasn’t crazy about lace, but I tried it on and absolutely loved it! Yes, it has a lot of bling. And it’s very low cut, in the back and front. That’s why I ended up buying a different dress. I didn’t think it was the right dress for a church wedding. But if we had a civil ceremony, that would have absolutely been THE dress!
