Hi all! A little back story for you.. Me and Fiance have been looking at buying a house since last October, we were in the closing process and were about a week away when the bank we were working with told us they could no longer do a 203K and to start over with a new bank would cost us our earnest money and possibly might not even work out. Obviously this was devestating and happened right around Christmas when Fiance was traveling for work a lot.
Fast forward to this past June, we find a house. A lovely little home that I could see myself living in and wanted to move into the second we signed our offer. Now this house was a short sale, so it took us awhile to find out if our offer had been accepted which means all of our families have been endlessly inquiring for nearly 4 months now. Well, we found out on August 27th that our offer was accepted!! Yay!!
Now here is the fun part…our representing relator is a cousin of Fiance and thought it would be fun to NOT tell his parents right away, but to surprise them when we are presented with the keys. He wants to somehow get them to the house like we are showing them another house we are interested in “in case this house doesn’t work out” and then we would open the door and say surprise we got the house!
We have a first time homebuyers class this wednesday and after that will be scheduling a closing date, but it will be anytime between the 12th and 27th of September. Any of you have any other ideas or a better way to get them to the house and surprise them? We would appreciate the advice and ideas! Be as creative as you desire!!!!!
