Hey everyone! So I found the dress and I’ve been scavenging the internet for the appropriate shoes. My color scheme is fuschia, lavender, light blue, orange and white. I want a shoe that gives me a pop of color since my dress hem is shorter at the front ankles. I looking at achieve a “fierce” color in a delicate shoe.
Here’s my dress, we’re having a beach wedding in Hawaii so it’s a more casual style dress. It’s silk chiffon with a sublte pink and grey peacock print
Choice A is Jimmy Choo Trinity in Fuschia and Pewter. It looks a bit gold but the heel and edging is grey-ish silver. I like this because it’s relatively simple, keeping at two colors while sticking to the “strappy” look I wanted. I am worried the front strap/peeptoe is a bit too thick for my liking, but with this shoe I can wear silver jewelry accents.
Choice B is a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo Blejan in Violet and Magenta. This one is strappier and I love the delicate ankle strap. It has a gold heel, which means I’ll probably wear gold accents with my dress. I’m more into the silver jewelry look with my dress which is why I’m hestitating with this shoe, but the train should cover the back heel or my friends say I should just mix metal looks. I do LOVE that the sole of this shoe is violet metallic leather! Totally beautiful.
Which one do you like better with my dress??

Won’t you want flats? If you’re walking on the beach in those high heels, you’re going to have some problems!

@AlwaysSunny: Good point! I’m probably going to buy some SoleMates or some other kind of heel covers. I did consider flats but since you can see my shoes from the front hem of the dress, I wanted to make it fancy and I think heels would give it a better overall look. Also I just LOVE high heels; I’m a bit above average (5’8) and my Fiance is 6’1, so I just have to make sure I don’t over do it

Hands down the Choos..They are luxe, a pop of color, delish.
The Ferragamos don’t have the wow factor IMO.
Plus, Choos are comfy and well made. Not that Ferragamos aren’t, but yanno.

I prefer the second shoe. HOWEVER i voted the first, if the print in the dress is pink and grey I wouldnt be adding any gold.

Just a thought, even if you get heel covers for these I would think they would still sink into soft sand?
Maybe somehting to test so you don’t get there and have to spend the ceremony concentrating on not over balancing!

What about some wedges? I’ve walked on a beach in heels, it is not pretty. I don’t recommend it.

Yeah, I feel bad, but if you’re going to be on sand, heel covers are not going to be enough to keep you from sinking.
@glacier_gal: Wedges could be a great solution, just make sure the sole is wide enough so you don’t tip over!

Hey everyone! Thanks for the feedback about the sand. It’s not exactly set if we’re going to have the ceremony on the sand or on a private grassy area on the beach; this is contingent on whether we can rent out a property that has grass extending really close/right next to the beach. We still need to figure things out with a wedding planner, but regardless of the context, I’m determined to wear heels! If we end up having it on the sand, I’ll just buy a separate pair of wedges and wear the above listed shoes with the dress at reception.
