I really love the following 3 gowns and would love your opinions on which to choose.
This first one is the maggie sottero nova (please excuse the bra straps)
this one is very similar and is the san patrick Edim Burgo. I would remove the strap and add a slight sweetheart. (Veil is not mine)
This last one still has the ruffles I love but has a different shape. This one is the Allure 8862. This picture doesn’t really do it justice as it was too loose on the top. I think I would replace the beading with a sash (Again please ignore the bra straps 🙂
I am very short at 5″1′ so I like that the first two elongate my torso and make me appear slightly taller. I am just a little concerned that they emphasize my tummy area am make me appear too heavy for such a fitted dress.
On the other hand I loved how soft the allue looked and felt. I liked that ruffle line was higher and hid my tummy area. But I am worried that, although I feel less selfconscious because because it is not as fitting, the effect actually might make me appear larger.
Let me know what you think!

OMG I’m loving you in the San Patrick!! It gives you an amazing body shape. I’m also a big fan of ruffles, wow!!!

I vote San Patrick as well!

I think the San Patrick is the most figure flattering & i like that dress the best too! It has the ruffles that you love on the 3rd dress but I personally think the fitted style looks much nicer on you.you say that you wonder if the higher waist with ruffles flatters your stomach in the 3rd one but I think the opposite…the fitted, especially the tulle pleating on the body of the San Patrick is MUCH more slimming. Trying to ‘cover up’ an area only draws more attention to it in my opinion. You look great in the fitted style!! I even like the strap, it adds a little interest to the top.

I like the San Patrick, too. I actually really like the strap — but it would still look great without it.

I love the San Patrick on you, so I voted for it. It is so flattering. But I don’t know with the alterations… I love the strap and neckline and feel like they make the look complete!

I love the San Patrick, too! I also love the strap. You look amazing in that dress!

I picked number two and I wouldn’t change the neckline or the strap. I think you is actually really flattering and you look really amazing in it. The neckline makes it different than the others like I said more flattering. Good luck

San Patrick, but I would just be careful with the more fitted goens because you are short. I am 5’2 and when I tried them on I loved them but when I realized how much would be chopped off in alterations it lost a lot of the look. If you’re wearing a good sized heel that might help though (I’m not).

Can I be 110% honest? I think you should keep looking.
The dresses you showed us here are either ballgown or mermaid – I think you should try a fit & flare or a modified A line. Something less fitted and harsh as a true mermaid, but not quite as big and grand as the ballgown. You’ve got a great shape but I think the flare of the skirt needs to start up higher on her thighs, especially if you’re a bit of a shorty 🙂

Thanks for the comments.
@KristenGotMarried: I appreciate the honesty. I agree about the fit and flare and have been looking for one with the ruffles I like. I was also told by alteration that instead of onl taking off the bootom they can move up the point at which they flare out to be more of a fit and flare, so I am considering this too.
