Yeah, I see what you mean.  #1 has a beautiful bodice, though I’d be concerned with all the alterations you have in mind.  I guess it depends what you prioritize- for me, it’s comfort and ease, so I’d go for #2; it’s a more clean and sleek aesthetic, and you can bling it out with jewelry, if you choose to do so.  I also think it really showcases your figure well.

they’re both pretty, but from the pictures, to me the first dress makes you look more top heavy, where the second dress looks perfectly proportioned and stunning. My vote is for dress 2 💖

I like the first one but without the side cut outs. I actually find that one to be more figure flattering. I feel like the second one cuts you in half.

I prefer the second dress, but you do look beautiful in both!

I actually like everything about the first dress on you and don’t get a beach vibe at all! I honestly wouldn’t worry about the sides as your arms will probabaly be down most of the time anyway! I don’t care for the nude underlining on the second dress. And my eyes are also drawn to where the skirt starts so starkly underneath. It’s all I really see when I look at it. It just doesn’t blend or flow well imo. It just looks unfinished and like it’s lacking. It’s just meh to me. I find the fit of your first dress to be more flattering and I love the train on that dress way more too! I just see dress 1 as more of a wow dress and I honestly think you look beautiful in it bee. You just shine! But overall you need to be happy and COMFORT is also huge!!

I agree [email protected] I don’t think the first dress looks beachy at all, but it matters how you feel. I also think the second one is really pretty from the back but I really don’t like the distinct change from the top to the skirt. Could this dress be made with an ivory lining instead of nude?

If you do decide to switch from the first dress, I’d keep looking. I think you could find something more similar to the first dress without the elements you dislike.

I don’t get a beach vibe at all from number 1 , though  I share your concern about the fishnet sides . They could  be lined quite  easily though  I should think  .

The second has ,  as pps have said,  a kind of disconnected look and that nude lining does not really add class.  Ivory might be better ?

I should say though,  that you look great in both, and  if the fishnet were lined, 1 is  just the pefect dress

I forgot to mention they could easily add modesty panels to the sides. The whole midsection of my first dress was a see through and I was very uncomfortable so they were going to add a modesty panel. It actually looked better with it! It pulled the dress together more! If the side are your biggest worry I would ask them about adding modesty coverage to those areas. I think you may actually end up liking it even better! I can’t wait to see what you decide on! You will be beautiful no matter what though 🙂

I think the 1st one is gorgeous as is and is not ‘beachy’ at all. Unfortunately I don’t care for dress 2 at all and find the top of it quite unflattering.
