So long story short I sort of procrastinated dress shopping because all of the dresses I fell in love with were WAY over budget (by thousands of dollars!) and I guess that really bummed me out and made me feel like I would never get my dream dress.
Now I need your help deciding between 2 dresses…
The first one I photoshopped myself into (poorly I might add, and the white spots are from me covering up the black border of each picture so it flowed a little better). It is the top of a Lazaro 3050 replica dress with the bottom of a Maggie Sottero Divina dress. I would order this from Landy Bridal or possibly Duosheng.
And second is the Mori Lee 5108 (thats me in the dress but had to cut my head off, not a flattering face!) The belt does not come with so I would get a different one.
The Mori Lee is $650 and the replica would be $460ish. Any and all feedback is welcome! I really need your help girls! Thanks

@boukie2: I really like the Mori Lee and for the small price difference you know it looks good on you and you’re getting a designer dress

@boukie2: I agree with CatyLady. The price difference is minimal, at least in terms of wedding dresses. I also feel like the Mori Lee looks great on you, you know it looks great on you since you actually tried it on, and you wouldn’t have to worry that it wouldn’t come out exactly like you wanted.
I think replicas and custom gowns can be a bit of a gamble … I mean, the dress could be fabulous and exactly what you envisioned or it could have a lot of things that need to be fixed/changed before it looks the way you want it to. If you feel like you’re in a time crunch, I’d go for the sure thing.

That Mori Lee looks fantastic on you.

I think the Mori Lee looks amazing on you. Maybe you could get the shop to include a veil or headpiece so you don’t have to pay too many extras.

While I am a Divina bride, i would go with the Mori Lee because you’re on a time crunch. You never know how custom dresses will go. I’d go on the safe side.

I like the Mori Lee. I think it looks fabulous on you and it doesnt even need the belt.

I think I should have mentioned that I can get the Mori Lee in 1.5 to 2 weeks and the custom in 4 to 5 weeks. Only thing Im worried about is if I order the custom dress and do need a back up I dont know if the mori lee would be available in 1.5 to 2 weeks by then. I think the reason I cant commit to the Mori Lee is the skirt. I wanted something that was a little more fun on the bottom and had a little more movement to it. I tried on a Vera Wang dress at Davids bridal (I’ll post a pic) since it had a similar skirt to Maggies Divina and loved how the skirt moved when I walked in it! Ahhh, now I know why girls end up buying 2 dresses!

I love the mori lee even better than what the replica would be, and you know what you’d be getting. It looks amazing on you!

I would go with the Mori Lee because it is such a pretty dress and it looks great on you. It is a bit more but not by a whole lot and at least you know what the fit is like on you. One of the worst things is buying a dress that you end up not liking.

question does that point of tulle start in the middle?
No it starts a little off to the side … not terribly noticeable … I am really against anything asymmetrical (the perfectionist in me just cant handle it lol) but this one didn’t bother me since its so indescrete. The back is straight across and I shouldve taken a pic!

I like the color of the Mori Lee better, and the draping at the bottom too. But either one is gorgeous on you!
