    Because your bands are so blingy, I wouldn’t go the surprise route.  I think a simpler head like the double claw will look pretty with the OEC.

    I think at that size (5.5-6 mm) double claw prongs overwhelm the center stone. I love double claw prongs but I think they look best on larger stones. I personally would do a simple 6 prong head.

     I agree with pp that your ring already has a lot going on and a fancy head could make it too busy, I would stick with something simpler. I’ve got a trellis ring head which I personally love because it’s simple while still maintaining some visual interest.
