So bees, I tried these rings on last year. We’re finally discussing and planning for engagement so I thought I’d get some opinions. Which ring do you like? I’m not sold on the matching band for option 1 as I tend to like a stacked/mismatched band look.
Option 2- I would have a matching band on both sides of this ring.

I like the first one because it’s not as uniform/geometric looking. That could just be the picture, though. Which one do you like more? If you can’t decide, go for the one that costs less.

I can’t fully tell what’s going on with the first ring. Not clear enough. I like them both. I know that’s not helpful. I don’t particularly like the ring that goes with the 2nd one. You can’t wear it separately.

The first ring has a scalloped band. Each of those scallops has two diamonds. I wouldn’t have the stone set up so high.
If I go with option 2, I could wear the two bands without the engagement ring & it looks really cool. Couldn’t just wear one alone tho for sure!

I love option 1. It is something I have not seen before.

@mamadingdong: I really like the second one. My bands are similar and my wedding band is curved like that to fit snug to the e-ring. I love the way it looks.

@mamadingdong: Now I’m going to tell you something: I am not a crying person. But both of those rings made me tear up. I think we must like the same type of ring, and as such my choice is #2.
O. M. Freakin’G is that pretty!
But #1 is no slouch. I’ve seen #1 before (James Allen? ) but have never laid eyes on #2.
edited to add: need more info. For #2 you would add two additional bands? WOuld they be scalloped as well> Cannot picture. NEed photos! haha.

@FauxPas2012: aww! I am so obsessed with both of these rings! #1 is from a large local jeweler, tho I don’t know the designer 🙁 #2 is from a family owned place where the guy make almost all his own stuff. I’d much prefer to buy there (I work wih his brother) and he said he could recreate #1 for me.
So for #2, I would have a band on either side of the engagement ring so it would be completely symmetrical. Does that make sense? In the pic I have a band on the bottom- just imagine an identical one on top. Totally not the mismatched look I love, but I’m still obsessed with it.
@Future_Mrs.H: do you have pics??
thanks everyone for your input! I’m really torn!

I LOVE the first one! It is gorgeous by itself, and with the band. The band would also be pretty on its own. Definitely the winner for me, but it depends on how much you want the stacking look!.

@mamadingdong: I like number two… with two bands it’ll look like lace 🙂

@mamadingdong: I like the first set. The band in set#2 doesn’t look like it can be worn alone and that bugs me.

@mamadingdong: Of course I have pictures 😉 I will admit they’re not the best. The first one is when we we’re trying to pick out my diamond. I didn’t know at the time that the wedding band should be on the inside of the e-ring. I can’t wait to be able to wear mine…only 7 more months! haha. I hope these help and goodluck with finding one you really love
