I voted emerald, but keep in mind they are on the softer side. My Fiance and i designed my ring together, too. I wanted green, and researched stones.
I opted for Chrysoberyl becuse I couldn’t find sapphire in the green I wanted.

I voted sapphire because my grandmother had an emerald that broke after 20+ years of daily wear (even though she took excellent care of it), but if you want the emerald go for it! Just know you might need to replace it in the future if it breaks (not that that couldn’t happen to a sapphire as well, it’s just a bit less likely to happen).

I voted Sapphire because I think they are slightly more durable, but if that wasn’t a question I would go with Emerald.

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate the input. I do need to try on 3 carat size stones. The emerald cut is smaller in surface area, but I want it to be wearable. I think I would be ok with replacing it if I got 10-20 years out of it. I probably wouldn’t wear it to work everyday, but definetly wear it pretty regularly.
You guys have been so helpful, I really really appreciate it! I’m excited to email DK in the morning 🙂

HI ladies. I spoke to David. He is sooo sweet. He mentioned green sapphires too. I might order a few returnable stones and pick one?
