Hi Bees, a few days ago I posted a poll deciding between some moissaniteCo rings.. ultimately I decided on one, but my FH and I decided it would be best to physically try on some rings in person, so we headed to the only store in our city that carries Moissanite. Uh oh..
Trying on rings made it obvious that my style is much simpler. Now I’m 100% set on either of these rings.. I love them equally but there’s pros and cons to both. Both will be set with 1 carat equiv. F1.
Ring 1 – solitaire with sidestones (round centre)
This ring is gorgeous and closer to what I originally envisioned and I could get a matching wedding band and have a sparkly set.
Ring 2 – plain knife edge solitaire.
I tried this ring on as it’s FH’s idea of what an ER should be.. I was shocked at how much I loved it and how classy it is but I’m worried the lack of sparkle I’ll regret later on. With this ring however my future wedding band can be much bolder.
What should I do ? Thank you!

Second. I far prefer it, and you can have more fun with your wedding band.

I love the 2nd one, its a very classic and beautiful ring. A sparkly wedding band would make a lovely pairing to it. And since the center stone will be a moissanite it’ll definitely bring tons of sparkle all on its own.

just a devils advocate questions about the knife edge…….if you were wearing a knife edge ring and someone squeezed your hand would the ring hurt your fingers on either side if it?

I voted for letting FH surprise you! But only because I don’t like solitaires, so I’m biased.

No, the setting was surprisingly comfortable and easy to wear!

I never knew I woukd love pavé engagement rings – then my fiancé proposed to me. I love how sparkly the pavé stones are. They bring a smile to my face every single day.
