Dress one seems to be everything which you were originally looking for. Besides it being basic you didn’t seem to have any issues with it, other than the fact that it’s basic and you’d want to jazz it up.
Dress two- Honestly, the color doesn’t look bad on you either, and I don’t believe you’d have to alter your wedding color scheme as much as you think you do. (Depending on how heavy your venue decorated, you may or may not constantly be surrounded by color scheme decor.) sometimes while dress shopping, you can come across a dress you didn’t picture, but was more than what you could have imagined. While this dress is more my style (and appears to be the popular vote here on bee) here’s my concern: you said “I wasn’t sure if it was right for me” (twice). It needs to be right for you! Not myself, your Maid/Matron of Honor or anyone else but you. You will be the one wearing it.
Either way you can’t make a wrong choice. But don’t go forward with a decision if you’re not 100% confident. Don’t be tempted by the “sale ends today” pitch. While it may be true, I did and bought a wedding dress I ended up hating. I would just hate for that to happen to you. I know it’s long response, but I hope it helps.
Best of luck bee! Congratulations!

My personal philosophy is that the most important thing about a dress is that it embodies your style and YOU love it. It sounds like from what you’ve described dress #1 is your dress and you’re trying to talk yourself into dress #2 based on the reactions of others.

I like the first more for an outdoor beach wedding, since like someone else said, it does look like an eyelet. It is flattering on you though! However, depending on what your plan is with accessories, you could make it into something that works in the space. You’ll be able to work either one!

How about removing the straps and making the first dress a strapless sweetheart with a beautiful belt.. it would add more detail to the front of your dress. I love the idea of a simple dress you can dress up.. thats what i plan on doing😊
Some ideas i found on etsy!

They both look nice, but the blue dress reminded me of prom dress… the white us definitely bridal and the colour suit you.

Is it possible to get the second dress in white?

First dress. I think it flatters your figure better and more importantly you seem to like it best. Plus after your additions the end result will be lovely. Keep the straps. 😊

that blue dress is insane and it’s everything I don’t normally like (colour, sequence, beas etc.) I think it’s STUNNING on you. The first one is very blah and in my humble opinion I don’t like the pattern or lace of it looks kinda barn wedding style.

I agree with kmjkh that the first one looks a bit like a sun dress. Very casual, while the blue one looks fancier and more glamorous. Both look good, but I voted blue. You can definitely still do bright colors for decorations. I think jewel tones would look great.

What kind of wedding are you wearing? I really like dress 1 and do think it looks very nice on you but I do think it looks quite casual. If your wedding is casual, no big deal! but if it’s a formal wedding or traditional evening wedding, you might look a bit casual.
Dress number 2 is gorgeous! I think it might need to be fitted to you a bit more, but is really gorgeous

THE BLUE <3 The first one reminds me of a nightdress or a general every day maxi dress but with a small train

The second dress doesn’t look bridal to me, but more like a prom or pageant dress.
I think the first dress needs a belt and accessories to jazz it up. But I do think it’s more flattering and more bridal looking than option 2.

While both dresses are beautiful and you look great in both, I’m going to say neither. You say you love both, but the fact that neither is a clear winner for you tells me that there are things that you wish were different about both of these dresses. The first is too plain for you, and the second is amazing, but you’re not sure that you want to commit to a blue wedding gown. I don’t blame you. Something fun and different now may not stand your test of time in your wedding photos and memories.
As lovely as each of these is, I would keep looking.

Personally I like the blue dress but your body language in the first one says you feel better in it.

I think the second dress is absolutely stunning. It is indeed magical – you look amazing in it – I voted for it. Stunning.
However…. I think you prefer the first one which certainly can be made more funky and will certainly fit better with a vibrant colour scheme.
You will look best in the one you love the best – a dress is a dress and you suit them both – real beauty is within 🙂 Good luck xx
