Thank you all so much for your responses, it was really helpful to get some outside input! Not only did it give me new points to consider, but reading the comments really helped me to clarify my own true feelings about it.
I actually went dress shopping in November originally, and at that time was looking for something more like the blue dress- I wanted embroidery and details, but also was looking for a-line and tulle. After finding lots of “maybes” at several stores, I ended up falling in love with a simple, fitted lace dress instead. But the day before I meant to buy it, my car broke down and the repairs drained most of my dress fund. So I’d been reluctant to go looking again, knowing my budget had decreased and I was worried I’d have to just settle. If I truly couldn’t find anything else I loved as much, I was going to make it work to get the original dress, but it would have been a stretch now so I figured just seeing if I could find something less expensive would be worth it. I finally went shopping again this past weekend with my Maid/Matron of Honor, and that’s when I found these two dresses. I tried the white one on first, and immediately didn’t care about the one I couldn’t get anymore. I felt great in it and could picture all of my accessory ideas with it, and just loved it. I was like “yep! this is defintiely a top contender, probably the dress!” but I agreed to try on the others since it was the first one. The blue one was breathtaking, but when I put in on my first thought was “wow, this is beautiful, but probably not the one for me” but before I could say so my Maid/Matron of Honor and the consultant started gushing about how beautiful it is and how awesome it would be to have something so unique. While I agree that it is stunning and objectively a more beautiful dress with all of it’s details, it occured to me while reading your responses that with such a dramatic difference between the two dressses, the fact that trying on the blue one didn’t immediately blow the white one out of the water for me means it’s just not my dress. I tried them both on twice, and at no point wanted to rule out the white one, yet had lots of questions about the blue (I felt the same as those of you who said it looks more like a prom dress, and I felt unsure about the color on me, etc. I also felt a different vibe in it- not a bad one, but one that would change how I would do my wedding a lot. It would be a lot more of a glamorous, cool, and elegant vibe if I got the blue dress, which would be lovely, but our vision is a warm, bright, playful vibe and I just didn’t feel that way in the blue). I’m sure I’d get many more compliments with the blue dress and it would indeed be cool to get to be so unique, but ultimately as many of you pointed out that’s not what’s important. So I’m going with the one I truly loved how I felt in, the white one 🙂 (*cue Eleanor from The Good Place telling me “ya basic!” lol, but I guess it turns out I like simple!)
I found out that the sale actually goes through next Monday, not yesterday as I’d thought, so that took pressure off and gave me a chance to gain clarity too! (good point willowrose15 : about not letting the sale pressure me. I decided I wouldn’t force myself to decide yesterday and that helped me see more clearly, and turns out I luckily do have time to try on my white dress once more before pulling the trigger, while still getting the sale price!) For those of you who loved the blue dress, if you’re looking it really is a dream and even lovelier in person, and it’s $500 off right now at DB so go and get yours ladies!

Based on these photos? Keep looking.
To me, the first dress looks cheap. sorry! But it is definately boho, so if that is what you want, go for it. And with accessories it will be charmng. Not “show stopping” but pretty and charming.
the other dress is flashy and not as flattering. It makes you look booby.

They are both beautiful dresses but if the question to answer is which one looks best on you then I’d say the white one is the way to go. There is something about the cut that seems to have a slenderising effect on your waist/ hip/ tummy area. The blue one is not unflattering by any means but I think the white one takes the honours in terms of maximising your attractiveness.
