It is not dumb at all – I completely get what you are thinking 🙂  My e-ring is from Blue Nile as well, and I thought about getting a plain band for contrast, but I didn’t like it when I tried one on at Zales just to see. But I think with you ring, the shiny plain band would look lovely.  If you want to order right away, I’d go with that one – like you said, you can always return it if it doesn’t work.  If you can wait a bit though, I’d say go into a brick and mortar store to try a few styles on, and then decide after you’ve been able to compare them on your finger.

I wanted a simple band too because my engagement ring has the same pave settings as yours does. I didn’t want to overdo the diamonds and I wanted to save $. But once I tried some on the diamond band was the clear winner. So seeing it in person is definitely your answer. By The Way I later come to find that a straight gold band would be a lot more expensive because gold prices are really high right now. The more tiny diamonds, the less gold you need. Go figure!

You made the right choice! And you can always wear them on separate hands and it will also look awesome!

@viewfrmhere , what is the size of your diamond?  I’ve loved that setting from blue nile for a while now and am wondering how a .8 diamond would look in it.  I know they have the recently purchased pictures but a full view that you have is nice to see 🙂
