I say both! That last skirt actually looks like a blend of tulle and chiffon, so why not go with that beauty?
A chiffon tulle skirt gives you the smooth, liquid movement of chiffon with the diaphonous fullness of tulle. The absolute best of both worlds. 🙂

I agree. Too much tulle will not look right with your top but the last picture you posted seems to be the perfect ammount. If not chiffon all the way.

I think the last skirt you posted would give you the best of both worlds and look sooo good with your dress!
Also, I love this idea and I think you are brilliant for coming up with it.

I voted for tulle! It’s your wedding, who needs to be able to wear it again anyways? 🙂 you’ve got your main dress that serves two purposes already and I love the look of tulle.

@multinational: I think the chiffon will look more romantic and flowy, while the tulle will look more fun. I choose the chiffon because I think this is the look you’re going for.

I voted tulle because that’s what has always screamed bridal to me.
I don’t know if you saw this listing and this listing on etsy for floor length tulle skirts, they are only $125 and $198 dollars as opposed to the $300 ones you were looking at.

The last tule skirt is amazing!

I think it is a brilliant idea to have do your dress this way 🙂

And to update everyone else, I’ve found a local seamstress to make my skirt for $40!! (Not including the cost of fabric, which I have to get myself, but I still consider it a steal.)
She is also altering my dress for $40! She comes highly recommended by a friend and has been doing this FOREVER (she’s 75 years old!!) and she’s so sweet. 🙂
I’ll update as soon as everything comes together.

I chose chiffon. I make tutus and tutu dresses for children and tulle is anything but flowy. It is alot ruffer than chiffon. I think the chiffon would look amazing with your dress!

@tdodd88: Thanks Tdodd88. I talked with my seamstress and we are going with chiffon over a little bit of tulle to help the chiffon stand out a little. 🙂
