That veil is gorgeous! I prefer the veil/comb combo to the belt. Your dress has such beautifully detailed folds that I wouldn’t draw away from that, even with a more subtle belt.

I definitely agree with you that you’re better of nixing the belt. Because the bodice of the dress is bandage-style and extends down at an angle those two details are competiting to my eye.  I don’t think it’s serving the function that you want it to, and the scale seems way off based on the thickness of the bands in the top.  It just looks too small.  I like the accessories you’re considering exchanging it for.

The veil and comb for sure! The way the fabric is pleated for the top is super flattering all on its own, the belt cuts it off in an odd spot because it is straight across where the dress itself angles up. That comb is great!

Your dress is lovely and looks great on you. It definitely does not need the belt (you can barely see it) but the other accessories look fab!

I’m considering cancelling an appointment because my Future Sister-In-Law went there and all the dresses they pulled were waaay over budget. She did buy her dress there but I just hate the sly tactics. They were also super rude on the phone. I told them my date (September) and they curtly told me their dresses take 6 months plus to come in (which I did have an inkling about). I asked if it was a problem and the phrase was repeated verbatim. So I asked if it would be worth me going elsewhere and I got the same word for word reply. Not a single other salon has had a problem AT ALL with my timeline. And I can hardly move my wedding… I think some salons are too big for their boots… if I went to any other store where dresses are that expensive I would be treated like a queen rather than an inconvenience.

Agree with the PPs! Definitely exchange the belt- the dress on its own is SUCH a flattering cut and the belt sort of muddies the waters a bit.

Love the veil/comb combo- and if you want to ditch the veil at some point during the reception you’ll still have the comb!

Yeah the belt definitely doesn’t work as it cuts right across the rouching. And the dress is already flattering on its own. Exchange for sure!

Definitely the veil/comb combo! I don’t think that belt goes with the dress. I’m not normally a veil type of person, but that one is goooorgeous, and the comb is legit stunning!

No belt . At All. Most dresses don’t  look better for them and yours with its elegant ruching and draping most certainly doesn’t. I fear   it is just  an upsell  , the idea  that a belt cinches/defines  a waist for larger women.  It  simply doesnt – or rather it does, but not in a good way , unless  you are markedly  hourglass anyway   . The veil and comb are lovely  . As is the dress. I love a Grecian goddess look.
