After a lot of looking, we’ve finally narrowed it down to two. Blue sapphire pictured is a 2.1 carat stone, but can be made with a different size stone. Because my fingers are small (size 4.5), I’m debating whether something in the 1-1.5 carat range may be more suitable for everyday wear. Sapphire ring also has 30 diamonds on the side totaling 0.24 carats. Diamnd center stone is 0.7 carats, with 0.03 carat stones on each side. Both are white gold. I knw they’re completely different, but I love both – not sure how to decide short of flipping a coin!

@mld1983: They are both beautiful but the diamond looks especially perfect on your hand.
I love diamonds!
You could always get a sapphire right hand ring down the road sometime.

@mld1983: I have a saphire and diamond right that I wear on my right hand all the time, but it really does not look like an engagement ring. I think the diamond one as it does read as an engagement ring and will make the statement you want.
As barricades stated I think getting the saphire for the right hand later would be best. thats what I already did 🙂 and I’m glad I didn’t put coloured stones in my e-ring

The diamond one is gorgeous! it almost looks like its a flower with two leaves on either side. I love it.

I’m more of a fan of clear stones for E-rings so my vote is for the diamond although both really are pretty!

I think this has tobe a personal choice not one other ladies tell you to choose. I went with a purple sapphire and my finger is smaller than yours with a bigger round stone. However I really love colored stones and I 99% of the time HATE white diamond engagement rings. I find them extremely cliche and I have a major issue with the blood diamond trade. The diamond ring here is an older style setting which I like, but as stated I’m not a super big white diamond fan. I think of white stones as accent stones not as the centerpiece. So bottom line is this they’re both nice rings, but go with the one that speaks to you not what society tells you or a bunch of girls on here.

Love both but the second is my fave 😀

Both are beautiful, but if it were me, I would pick the second one.
