MissAnon_UK :  golly. Tough choice. Both have lovely photos. Is there one you feel you have a better rapport with or like for some other reason aside from their photos?  I edge towards the second one you list just as I like a magazine style portraiture and my mua was this kind of style.

I personally like Lisaalger more. Her makeup style reminds me of my MUA that I chose. I like her for some very similiar reasons I liked my artist.

-She seems very capable of very different hairstyles and pulls them off well.  They look neat and polished

-The brides seem to look like a nicer, polished version of themselves. No contouring to death, good blending and good choice of colors. Just over the top enough to photograph really nicely but not clownish and there is a very fine line between the two from my experience.

Is there one you are leaning more towards? How do you want to look on your wedding day? I knew I wanted to look like a nicer, polished version of myself but I didn’t want to look unrecognizable with contouring, too heavy eyes or cheeks or lips…just very balanced but enough to pop for photos and that helped me decide on a makeup artist.

    desirella :  yes I agree!!

More variety in hair= more options / overall skill (IMO).

MissAnon_UK :  I wanted to add this since you said you want an up do. As brides we have a tendency to focus on the makeup more than hair because after all it’s our face but now that I’m married and I look back at it all, I am soooooo glad I went with someone that was really good at both because I am still obsessed with my up do over a month after the wedding.

Bumbles up dos are nice but Lisa Algers are amazing. A good makeup artist will be able to do both light, natural and dramatic makeup. Sorry if I’m coming off pushy, I don’t mean to! Just wanna be helpful ๐Ÿ˜

Well originally I liked the first best but after reading the comments I can see why people are liking option 2.

I just want to point out that you don’t have to decide right now…if you think you would book the second one for hair book your trial with that one, then if you hate the make up you could always book hair and makeup separately to get the best of both. But I think many of option 2 brides wanted a natural look so that’s what they got, but there are at least two pictures of the more dramatic makeup you seem to prefer so they can do it. I would book a trial with the one that does your hair because you would need to see how the veil looks with your style (if applicable), then if you hate the makeup switch it up, assuming you have the time that is.
