Hi bees! Fiance and I are torn between two designs for our wedding invitations, and some outside input would be helpful!
About our wedding: we’re getting married in our hometown in the Midwest, and originally planned on having a colorful wildflower themed forest wedding. Because that became complicated, we ended up choosing a different venue- the rainforest building at the zoo! It’s actually a very cool venue filled with live jungle plants and open animal exhibits, and we’re leaning into the jungle theme, though not going full tropical with the flowers. It’s a lot of greenery and colorful garden style flowers, and some whimsical details we’d always planned on including like a crescent moon photo booth and lots of bee-related details.
Option 1: probably what I would have picked if we had the wedding we originally planned, colorful and wildflowers. I think it’s pretty and whimsical and romantic, but don’t love the white background and lack of foil details
Option 2: I think this one is pretty too, and a fun way to introduce our theme! I like the foil details a lot (the yellow lines would be gold foil), and I think it’s elegant but still fun. Is it too cheesy though, in playing into the venue theme so much? Does it convey too casual of a feeling? (Note: the designer is able to make room for the website on the back of this one as well)
Thanks in advance for your input bees!

I like the jungle ones! I don’t think they are over the top theme-y, but they compliment your theme in a classy way.

Both are beautiful but the 2nd one matches your theme, so I’d go with that one.

Thank you for your input bees! 😊

Update: the designer changed the wildflowers to my wedding colors, does it change thoughts for anyone? Still undecided ourselves

I’d probably go for a toned down jungle version.
The new wildflower ones still don’t really fit IMO. More appropriate for a barn/meadow wedding.

They’re both lovely, but the jungle ones actually look a bit more formal to me? I also like that it matches your venue!

Ordinarily I would say wildflowers (mine had flowers too!), but the jungle ones just seem to match your theme so perfectly! That being said, I don’t think many people are going to notice if your invitations themed differently than your venue. So I would get the ones you love the most.

bluejaybride : the new design is nicer than the first BUT the second jungle theme on your original post is the winner. by far. the contrast is so appealing!

Theme or no theme, and I don’t think it competes with it at all, I am a much bigger fan of the wildflower motif for a wedding.

bluejaybride : I’m a bit biased about bold prints so clearly the jungle print. It’s gorgeous, modern, and sets a tone.

Jungle print all the way! I honestly wouldn’t have even noticed the color change to the wildflowers if you had not said anything about it. The wildflowers just don’t seem to fit into you theme imo.

I think the jungle print is fun! It’s modern and totally fits with your theme. I think it’s a cool way to get your guests interested and excited about your theme
