So I’m finally coming up to the end of my dress journey and have it narrowed down to two options, which I CANNOT decide between. I keep swinging between the two options, and can’t seem to settle. I tend to veer more towards the Oly. But right when I think I’ve made the decision, I think of the blush one (the Oleida) and go right back!
ANYWAY, help me choose! They are both pronovias dresses. The first one is more of a simple style which only comes in ivory, as pictured. The other one is a bit more sparkly and princessey, and comes in a blush colour which is totally gorgeous. Unfortunately the store where I tried them on would not allow us to take pictures. However I did have a friend skyped in, and she took some secret screen grabs, although they are pretty blurry. I also have the model shot to give a better idea. One thing to note is that both of these are a size too small, they did zip but for instance are really tight in the hips.
First: The Pronovias Oly
Second: The Pronovias Oleida
I feel like the pros and cons between the two are:
White dress: It is more figure flattering. It is more simple, which fits better with the theme of our wedding, which is a rustic barn wedding where we are serving either BBQ or lobster. It’s also the dress I have been dreaming of for years, and was the main reason I came to Montreal to dress shop, so I could try it on! But when it all comes down to it, it’s a fairly simple plain dress and not as special.
Blush dress: I feel like it is the more special dress of the two. The blush colour really compliments my skin tone, and it’s got really gorgeous lace. It’s more of a romantic feel. I feel like a princess in this dress. But that can also feel a bit like I’m playing dress up, rather than being really the best version of me like I feel in the white. It also feels weird to have such an elaborate dress for a country barn wedding.
Help!! Which do you like better? Tell me why!

I am picking the white dress because it’s more flattering. I think the blush one is nice too, but I don’t care for the thin straps as much. I think if it was strapless or had off the shoulder straps it would be a lot nicer.

@thunderberry: I voted 1. The actual dress part of 2 is pretty but I’m not keen on the straps. They look like they were added on as an afterthought.

both dresses look special and romantic. The first one suits you much better

@thunderberry: While I absolutely LOVE blush dresses, I think the Oly looks gorgeous on you so that got my vote!

Blush, for sure!
You should always feel special in your wedding dress!

Thanks everyone for your votes, it is helping! I think part of the reason I’ve had such a hard time is while my mother loved the Oly, there was this group at the salon who were there for another appointment who were completely convinced the blush dress was the one for me. It got me all confused! I’m glad to see some Oly love here 🙂

I voted for the first one – I think the v neckline and straps for you really well!

A couple more pictures –
Full shot of the Oly with veil and bouquet:
Full shot of the Oleida. This one is helped along by the fact that I’m pushing down by hips 😛 I’m hoping they will be a bit smaller come my wedding day!

Bump! I thought I had decided but I keep going back to pics and second guessing myself… did the new pictures I posted change anyone’s opinion??

I vote Oly because I love the shape of it on you. So flattering and elegant. I also like the skirt better.

i voted for #1…it’s really pretty. And I like the neckline/straps better on #1. But you can’t go really go wrong with either choice.
