I’m currently looking for my wedding ring to go with my cushion cut halo engagement ring and I’m torn between having one that looks like the band on my engagement ring or something a bit different.
Initially I wanted to go for a ring that was different to my engagement ring so that it would stand out more, I showed my jeweller this pic of a ring I liked but he said he wouldn’t recommend it as a wedding ring as there’s only 2 prongs that hold each diamond so he thinks they might loosen over time and wouldn’t recommened it for a ring I’d be wearing every day.
So I tried the band that matches my engagement ring and although I do like it I still wonder if it’s too similar and makes it look like one ring. Here’s the pic of the matching band:
Then my jeweller suggested trying a pave ring with round and marquise shapes (similar to the Tiffany jazz ring) as something different to my engagement ring, now you’ll have to use a little bit of imagination for this one as they didn’t have a platinum one available for me to try as it’ll be made to order but they did have one in gold but the ring size was too small for me and he also recommened the width of the ring being a little bigger too if I go for this option.
Which one do you think would look best with my engagement ring?

I like 1 and 2 …your ring will look beautiful with any of those options and you can always stack. I’m ALLL about stacks and options

I like the one that matches your engagement ring.

I love the second option more. Gorgeous.

I actually have both rings. Mine is an unhaloed pear. I swap them out depending on mood. I’ll use the bead and eye also as a stack but I like it with my e-ring alone as well. So basically I am no help. Go with what speaks to you.

Omg I love the gold bead and eye band with your ring!!! I’m usually all for matching sets, but I’m loving the mixed metals with yours! But I do think the same bead and eye band in platinum would look Amazing too! Honestly every option you posted will look great so I’d just go with what you feel most comfortable wearing!

I vote for the yellow gold. Then one day if your husband wants to get you an anniversary band you can rose gold and then you’ll have ann 3 colors! My ering is white gold, my wedding band is twisted rose and I hope to one day get a yellow bead band as an anniversary ring

In my honest opinion, this is a set that requires a matching band. It’s similar to “the one” by Harry Winston, and you just don’t mess with classics. I think you could do a thicker three sided pave matching band and it would look beautiful, but I think the bead and eye band takes away from your e-ring.
