I can’t decide between these two duvets. I LOVE LOVE LOVE grey so much, I think it’s such a great way to have a neutral earth tone and gives you the opportunity to use lots of fun accent colors.
I also love this ironwork blue duvet because I think it’s a lovely color, but there is less I could do accent-wise. I also think the ironwork blue duvet is a tad more feminine than the grey. DH loves the grey, but is fine with the blue if I want it. Which do you like best (bear in mind what I could do with the whole room as well!)
ETA: For reference: our headboard is a dark, espresso colored wood, farmhouse style, almost exactly like this:

I looove the grey and white, it looks sort of nautical.

We have grey bedding and I love it. You can always get accent pillows and it will really bring out the colors. Our bedroom is painted grey with grey bedding and then the furniture is dark. Allows us to hang whatever art we want.

Our bed is a couple shades lighter than yours and we’re doing a white duvet with grey accents, so I’m loving your white/gray pick.

Grey! Grey! You both love it, you should go for it! And who doesn’t love accent pillows?
This is coming from someone is a very blue person, too!

DH and I are HUGE earth-tone fans, and I can’t tell you how much I love grey. I am so drawn to that one, but kinda fear it’s too masculine. But with some citron pillows and matching throw, plus art and lamps, I think it should be fine, right??

the gray is cool but i LOVE that blue one. i think there is a lot you could do accent wise… yellows, oranges, reds… even GRAY!

I’m sure it will look great! You can do a few feminine accents, maybe a colored lamp in the color you suggested, paintings, colored pillows, etc.

I love the blue, it’s very pretty!

I love both of them so I don’t think you could go wrong. I normally really like gray bedding (that’s what our’s is), but I’m really drwan to the blue set you posted!

I’m so torn! I love grey but I love the pattern on the blue on! Ours is somewhere in the middle, like this:

I spent days agonizing over bedding too, lol. I bought this and it’s really pretty but made it hard to coordinate it with the painting and other decor in the bedroom.
I bought the IKEA Ofelia duvet in blue-grey for my guest room and we both decided we liked it better than our duvet, so I picked it up in tan for our bedroom and I love it sooo much more! It’s soothing, spa like, and I love love love the material so much more.

Oh my gosh, I loooove both of them! They are both so clean looking, and modern and nice! I think they’d both go with your headboard too! I can see why you’re having trouble deciding… Are you going to paint the room, or do you have a color already painted or in mind that you want? I think that would influence me quite a bit…

I remember when you were toiling over that decision…I love what you chose. It’s right in the middle…gaaah I can’t choose. I may just let DH “have” this one and get the grey bedding (though I do loooove it), considering our current duvet was chosen exclusively by me. It’s lovely though, but he hates it bc it has this taupe branch applique-type thing (I didn’t realize it wasn’t part of the patter–it was sewn on in a different fabric, if that makes sense) that is trailing up the duvet from his side, and it’s soooo scratchy. The bedding is from BB&B and is gorgeous, but that applique part just kills him and he complains all the time just out of sheer inconvenience to his tender man-legs (insert eye-roll here).
Plus, west elm is having a 20% off bedding sale so…I really can’t not buy something

we’re not gonig to paint immediately. we will be renting a new apartment, but I think we could paint if we wanted too. We’re not sure we’ll stay in this place longer than a year, though. So yeah, the blue def would add color…but the grey would let me us ANY color I wanted…white walls in our room, too.
