Hey girls (and guys…?) I feel like I’m taking advantage of your decorating wisdom, but can you help me out? Mr. W is hopeless when it comes to interior design, and our living room couches need some fluffy new pillows. Here’s some photos of our living room from an old post – basically, we have beige walls, dark brown leather couches, hardwood floors, off-white curtains, and not a lot of other color, so our color options are pretty much unlimited. We already have some fluffy dark brown 16×16 pillows, but our couch needs some color! I found this navy shamrock pattern that I love, but I’m having the hardest time deciding what other pattern to pair it with! Which two patterns would you pair for our couch pillows?
#1: Featherland white fabric
#2: Gray ikat dot pattern
#3: Bethe perle geometric pattern
#4: Triangle pattern in slate blue
#5: Courtyard pattern in oyster
#6: Mint wave strip pattern
#7: Diagonal stripe mint pattern
#8: Art Deco New York pattern
#9: Art deco rings red pattern

Honestly, that shamrock pattern doesn’t go with any of those fabrics except the mint green with blue dots. The grays you chose are very modern and geometric, and cool toned. The shamrock is much more traditional, warm toned, and not really geometric. I love the gray fabrics – mave very similar ones in my home – but I’m not sold on them for your space. I think the shamrock plus mint is the way to go with brown couches and beige walls.

I like the oyster courtyard and the aqua stripes. I think the gray does go with the shamrocks.
BTW- I was hoping this post was about bed pillows :/ I need some recommendations. 🙂

I love it with the mint wave!

I agree with crayfish that the Mint Wave Stripe pattern is really the only one that goes with the shamrocks, IMO.

The mint wave is the only one that goes with the shamrock. But I’d get three colors/types. The shamrock, the wave, and then maybe a solid (med-light) gray. Then you’ve always got a neutral and could change out the other two for holidays and such!
