Hi lovely bees!!
I am TORN . I was proposed to with a .75 total carat weight halo and we are looking to upgrade because of so many issues with the ring that was purchased although I love it!
with a new ring – fiancée is letting me choose what I would like so he can have an idea (with a bigger center stone) …….
*I am a size 5-5.5*
i have attached pictures of BOTH a solitaire and halo on my finger (I tried to get a better further picture of the halo on my finger so it didn’t look so big)
with all of your beautiful rings I have been drooling over I don’t know which to pick –
another halo with round center stone
Solitaire center stone with diamond Accents on band
i figure with the solitaire being just a solitaire I would have a larger stone and a halo a bit smaller because the halo tends to make it look bigger. The halo in the picture has a 1.5ct and the solitaire is a 1.5ct. (Imagine the solitaire with side diamond accents)
if you are a size 5-5.5 with a square halo and round center OR solitaire with diamond accents PLEASE POST PICTURES !!!! Thank you !!!

I just love that solitaire and the diamond accents will make it unique 🙂 not that I have anything against halos (that one is super shiny!!)

I love both on you! My first thought is always solitaire, because I’m partial to them, but I’m really liking that halo on you.

jsuarez7809: here’s my ring, a 1.5 c brilliant center stone with 2 tapered bullet sidestones, TW over 2 c:
Sorry it’s a bit blurry. Best pic I have atm. I vote for the solitaire (but obviously I’m partial).
Edit: I am a size 4.75-5 (I believe my ring was the size between 4.75 & 5, whatever that is (I had it custom made)). I know it’s a bit smaller than yours but thought it would be close enough to give you a good idea =)

I ended up finding this picture of a solitaire with diamond accents on my finger 🙂
heres another picture of the solitaire with better lighting
decisions decisions !
@missmuppet – do you think that size halo looks okay on my finger ? Don’t want it to look too big like costume jewelry.

jsuarez7809: I think it’s a great size on you. Definitely doesn’t look like costume jewelry, but you need to be comfortable with it.

They’re all beautiful but I like the solitaire with diamond band the best.

I’m all for halo’s or beautiful diamond accents but I also pay attention to what style looks best on an individual. In my honest opinion I would have to vote on the single solitaire, this time around. It looks best on your hand. Good luck with your final decision.

I voted solitaire and I think the one with a plain band looks amazing on you.

Solitaire for sure!! It’s really flattering on your finger/hand

I’m not really a solitaire person at all!! So I had to suffice with the diamond accents!
I’m still so confused. But leaning towards more for the solitaire for a more dainty look .. But the halo is giving me life lol – I very much appreciate every answer given and will definitely take all into consideration !!! Keep the answers coming 😀

Solitaire with diamond accents gets my vote.

I love the halo, but I’m biased. I have a 1.46 carat diamond center with halo, it is a cushion cut, I believe the cut is called a “cushion modified brilliant.” Every diamond is different, some cushions with the same carat weight looked totally different on my finger. It is so hard to know exactly what the final product will look like on your finger!
My finger is about a 4.75 but the ring is a 5 to accomodate swelling. Here is a picture for reference of what the finger coverage looks like.

I am usually more of a solitaire fan, but I really like the way the halo looks on you. It really flatters your hand. I don’t like the solitaire with the pave band :/. The plain solitaire looks good too. Just officially realized I’m no use in this situation lol.
