So, I currently have light brown hair with gold highlights around my face and darker ones underneath. I have engagement pics next week and I think I want to change my colour, I would love some opinions pleaseee!
Here is a current pic of me. sorry for the shitty cell phone pic!
Here is me with black hair.
Here is me with redish brown hair
Here is golden hair ( i am at least 5 years younger in this pic)
Thanks everyone, you all rock! 🙂

I love the reddish brown on you! Make sure you go for something more auburn though – reds often come out VERY red at first, then fade to something more natural after a week. You prob don’t want a shocking color for your e-pics 🙂

I’d go for a really dark espresso or mocha – Black is harsh and hard as hell to get out when you want to color over it (which you probably know) but I love love the dark color on you so i’d go as dark a brown as you can without going black.

They all look great, but the black is most striking and would be wonderful for transitioning into fall.

i think the darker hair looks amazing with your skin, although the black is maybe a little too harsh – a chocolate brown would look fantastic, as does the reddy-brown pictured. 🙂

I would do a dark but warm chestnut color. A little Jennifer Love Hewitt style.

I like the black hair, it’s striking and elegant.
But I also like the golden look… it does make you look younger.

Thank you so much bees, this is really helpful. I like the idea of a dark mocha, or warm chesnut colour too.
I find I am more comfortable with darker hair.

I think your hair is gorgeous the way it is now, but you do look amazing with reddish brown hair.

@raisedonrobbery: You are very pretty!
That’s a tough one… I think you look good in all those photos. I wouldn’t go too dark though – it might be a harsh contrast in photos. Color tends to lighten up a bit aftet you’ve had it in for a while, so if you are only taking photos next week I wouldn’t do anything too drastic.
My favorite is probably the last photo w. the golden brown hair.

I like the idea of a dark brown, just not all the way to black!

The darker color is much better on you but I am biased because my hair is similar to yours and I prefer the dark brown/almost black on myself as well.

@ieatunicorns: I agree, like a deep chocolatey brown would look awesome! The black looks good, but sticking with dark brown will give more dimension to your hair color.

Wow you ware so lucky to be able to pull of all those hair colours and still look amazing! I’d go with a deep, rich chocolatey brown or a deep rich auburn, while keeping the tonal shades that turn up when you dye over highlights. Those colours should really pop in the photos. Don’t go flat black as there’s more chance of it looking a little “flat” and creating too high of a contrast in the photos.
