I recently posted this post: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/altering-a-dress-stripes-or-no-stripes/
The post was me asking for opinions on whether or not I should get my gown in plain organza or striped organza. I still haven’t decided. I was also asking for opinons on whether or not I should wear a belt, sash, get beading on the neckline, etc. I think I decided against getting extra beading on the actual gown. But someone on the post suggested I Photoshop different belts into the photo to see what it would look like. I thought that was a great idea – so I did just that!
So I’m making this new post to get your thoughts on what belt/sash to go with or if no belt is the way to go? Keep in mind, I will be wearing a large headpiece on the side of the head. I will not be wearing a necklace and will be wearing stud earrings.
Dress: Essense of Australia D1672
Me in the sample gown without a belt:
Rainbow Jeweled Belt (Would probably get in a different color sash – maybe black):
Black bead belt:
Thick floral jeweled belt:
Black lace beaded belt:
Skinny gold jeweled belt:
Thick black sash:
Thin black sash:

The thick floral one looks the best! I think the others just don’t do it for the dress, except for maybe the gold one if you plan on gold jewelry.

I like the thick black sash or the gold jeweled belt….

Is black one of your wedding colors? If so, I think the thick black sash looks so clean and elegant!
I actually did a quick headshake at the thick floral, it just clashed too much in my opinion.

P.S. Totally would love to hear your opinions if you have some other ideas other than what I have shared! 🙂

My wedding band will be gold and the headpiece I want comes in silver or gold. Hmm.. decisions

Yes! Our colors are red, light blue, light pink, peach, yellow, and gold. But also black and white patterns – thick black and white striped table clothes and our cake is polka dots and stripes 🙂
Oh and the flower girls may be wearing black tutus

Skinny Gold was my top choice however that would probably look best with the plain organza.
Black was my second which would match wither plain or striped. I like the black but perhaps one with a side jewel applique (instead of beaded all over).

i think the thick black sash helps to define your waist without being too distracting!
