They are the same color grade but I’m not sure if one is cut better than the other. They both look pretty sparkly to me but I haven’t seen either one in person. The Neo is almost twice the price of the one quoted from MoCo though. If it’s worth the money I wouldn’t mind paying it.
If any of you bee’s have seen them in person, it would be a big help!!
Also I thought I was cool with the setting I had originally picked but I saw another that is also really pretty.
This is the original one I fell in love with. It is .90 ct (ER + WB) melee moissanite stones are 2mm & the bands are 2.4mm wide each.
I like that you can see the diamond shape from the front of the ring but not sure if you’d really be able to see it anyway.
This is the 2nd ring I recently found. It is 1.26ct (ER + WB) melee moissanite stones are 2.5mm in a bar setting & the bands are 1.8mm wide each.
I like that it has bigger stones on a thinner band.
foxxysoxx : The cut on the NEO pear is much better than the ones from MoCo. I would personally choose the NEO. No contest.
If you go with the NEO, JHollywood can make the ring, which will be easier than mailing the stone to another vendor for setting. She has several similar settings to your inspirations, you’ll just have to ask which can be modified for a pear.
foxxysoxx : I can see what you are saying. But, it is the lighting. It looks like that was shot to show the faceting, so it is lite from the side (see the shadow in the first video). In other light, I don’t see the darkness. Have a look at this video comparing the SUPERNOVA, F1 and Neo. They all have the same look when lite from the side…
glitterysala : Yea, they look much lighter in those videos. Thank you! It’s SO hard to decide!! I want the sparkliest ring I can possibly get without getting a round stone. Lol. I keep flip flopping between the pear & oval as well. They are all so beautiful!
I like the Neo! I have never seen it, so thanks for sharing.
I’d honestly look at pear settings for ring inspiration. 4 prong settings aren’t going to work well with a pear shape, because the tip will not be protected, and is more prone to chipping. My personal favorite way I’ve seen pears set is in a bezel, particularly if it has a nice halo around it.
My favorite pear setting, ever, is JooJooBee’s for her barely pink moissanite.
foxxysoxx : I feel your pain! I’m way to clumsy and use my hands too much for anything pointy. My son called my pear sapphire cabochon my “mean” ring, as I scratched him with the tip several times. So, I reluctantly gave the ring to my pet and child free cousin, since I could not bear to re-set the stone. I tend to stick with rounded stones and settings (cushion, round, oval) or things that are very low to the hand.
foxxysoxx : personally I like the first band but I love skinny bands. My ring is from moissaniteco and I’m obsessed, it’s a forever one 1.5 equivalent. I will attach a picture so you can see how skinny the band is on the eng 161.
