I’m trying to decide between 2 bridesmaid dresses. The first dress would be in either a Regency or Plum color (shown) and is made out of chiffon. The second dress would be in the color Lapis (shown) and is made out of satin with a touch of tulle in the front. The bridesmaids range in size so I am hoping to get one that fits well on all body types. Each of the dresses complement my dress in the bodice. The wedding is going to be this fall and the ceremony will take place outside. Half of the groomsmen will be in Navy whites and the other half in dark suits. Which dress do you think would be best? Thanks for your help!

I love dress number one! How formal is your wedding, because I think number 2 looks pretty formal….

I’ve always found that chiffon hides flaws better than satin or any smooth material. This might be a consideration depending on the body types of your BMs.

I vote for number one, but that’s because I love the look of Chiffon over satin (and I think it could easily be reworn)

I like dress number one. It will look amazing on any body type. What style/designer is it?

@ggbride2be: dress 1 by far…my bridesmaid tried dress 2 on at DB and it was just “eh”…btw can you tell me the designer of dress #1?! I LOVE that dress and found something similar at DB but it’s short and I really wanted long!!

I voted for #2 because I don’t like the dip of the chest area of #1 and I like the sweep of #2 chest area and I just like purple…..

Dress one!!!!!! I love that dress and would wear it again. I def wouldn’t wear dress #2 again (too bridesmaid like).

I chose the second one because I love purple.

Chiffon is more forgiving for different body types whereas the satin is not. My preference is definitely the first one. And that neckline is to die for…most of the dresses my girls gravitated to had a similar neckline.

I like the first one. it is more re-wearable than the second one.

both lovely. if your wedding is more formal, i would choose #2 but if not, go with #1.

Although I chose the lapis satin fabric for my own bridesmaids, I really like the look of the chiffon there. I think it’s really flattering and chic.
What do your bridesmaids think? (Mine had choices of any dress/fabric in the lapis, and they decided to all wear differing styles in the satin, so it’s possible they may have a preference if you’re on the fence.)

The designer is Bill Levkoff
