I purchased our STD magnets off Etsy. I love how fun they are – and they really match our personalities. My problem is – how to package them. They came with white envelopes, which I am automatically not using because you can see the magnet right through the envelope. I have 2 options for sending them off. Can you help me out and decide which is the best option?!
Option 1: I purchased an invitation kit from Target, and attached the magnet using two photo corners. Here’s what it would look like:
My only question with this option 1 is – I wonder if it’s too much for a STD? Our actual wedding invitations won’t be pocketfolds, just the invite and enclosures, and I will probably DIY some type of belly band.
Option 2: Keep it simple and just put the magnet in a grey envelope you can’t see through. Don’t compete with your wedding invites and save some money!

I like it, if you already have those grey folds then just use them

option 1 is beautiful! You said you bought it from target? What is the brand? I am interested in making something like this! they are beautiful!

@MrsNeutrino: The box says Gartner Studios – Taupe Invitation Kit – although in person it looks grey!

i’m not a fan of the photo corners personally. I think it takes away from the look of the magnet.
Look for zots or another “glue dot” that you can stick to the back but will be removable (like what a credit card or coupon will be stuck to a letter with). I think that would look really nice

oh, I also have to ask.. what did you put in the pocket?

Option 1 looks stunning! If you can afford option 1 I say go for it.
I love your Save the dates! What etsy vendor did you use?

I like it, if you have the folds use them!
I did Magnet Save-The-Date Cards and didnt want to just put them in an envelope, I got small/inexpensive notecards from Target and placed one in each with a hand written/personalized message!
Best of Luck!

we struggled with the same thoughts with our magnet save the dates… so we ended up going with option 2- figured most people would be tearing through the envelope and tossing any packaging anyways… Good luck- we ordered cut, shimmery envelopes through envelopes.com, and printed fun labels too 🙂

@superh2ogirl: The vendor is APinchofSpice – she was great, sent me a free sample and after I ordered I had them in my hand within 10 days.

Its BEAUTIFUL! It’s not too much for an STD – you’ll just have to have a really nice invite, too. You could even match the invite by having the same pocket.
I don’t necessarily like the photo corners – you know those sticky dots that are on the backs of giftcards when they come attached to the cardboard? That would look better.
