Mitchell_lover:  When my daughter was a baby, Chicco made one of the best systems, but that was 6 years ago.  I would encourage you to take a look at consumer reports and check out safety ratings.

I have the Graco Modes stroller and I love it. though I love the versitility of being able to use it as both a frame and umbrella stroller, it’s pretty bulky.

If I had to do it over, I would have opted for a frame stroller for just the carseat that I would use from newborn until 4 or 5 months, and then an upgraded umbrella stoller (B-Agile..etc) for 5+ months through toddlerhood.

Well, I loved my chicco one if that helps any and I swear the stroller lasted FOREVER.  We even took it to Disney when she was 5, to help when she got tired!

My baby is now 6 months old and we still absolutely love the BOB Motion by Britax travel system stroller! You can literally steer it with ur pinkie it is so easy to push. It folds w one hand and my baby boy is always happy in it. I highly recommend it!

Mitchell_lover:  I skipped the “system” as I didn’t love any of the strollers. I ended up getting the Chicco Keyfit 30 seat and the Keyfit Caddy to click the seat into. I got the caddy at a consignment sale for $40. I live and walk in the city a lot so I wanted a sturdy stroller. I ended up choosing the City Mini. I really love it. The Britax “system” is very similar.

I suggest going to BRU and testing out the strollers. Ours is easy to fold- just one hand- and doesn’t take up a huge amount of room.

We have the Britax B-Agile/B-Safe system.  It’s been great.  IMO, it’s a lot lighter than the Graco systems which was a huge thing for me at the time.  Now I’m glad I took that into consideration because it is a lot of work lugging that thing around!

I have the Bob revoluation and matching car seat (it is a britax bsafe).  I love ours because I can run with it or use it for regular things like going shopping.  The baby bargains book has a pretty good section on strollers.

Most strollers now have the option of becoming a system with an adapter. You use the infant carrier for such a short time period, I recommend finding a stroller you really like and if it doesn’t have an adapter, get a snap n go.

I love my contours bliss stroller. It’s light, the seat converts to a bassinet that can stand on it’s own, decent wheels for a smooth ride, huge basket, has an infant seat adapter that fits a ton of different car seats.

FYI all car seats on the market undergo the same safety tests so they are all equally safe. The consumer safety ratings come from things like ease of use and labeling. If I had to choose between the chicco or the britax system though I would go britax. I think the stroller is higher quality.
