- Wedding: July 2013
The reception is booked from 5:30-11:30 (cocktails/h’orderves 5:30-6:30) and the wedding chapel is booked from 3-6 (they only offered specific morning/evening time slots).
Should I have the guests arrive at 3:30/ceremony starts at 4
or have guests arrive at 4/ceremony starts at 4:30?
We aren’t doing a receiving line and I highly doubt our ceremony will last any longer than 30 min.–My biggest concern is guests having too much time in b/t the 2 places (they are only 5 minutes away from each other).
Also, because the chapel time overlaps into the cocktail hour (at least for the bridal party) what do you guys think of “first look”? When I first heard of this I was like no way!! But now it is actually growing on me because that way we will have time to take more pictures at the reception site during the cocktail hour instead of just at the chapel (it is a gorgeous gothic-looking type cathedral). Any opinions on this??
