Hi all, I’m looking at wedding band now and would be grateful for any inspiration! My ring is a round set in a halo with pave diamonds. It has been set so that the wedding band can sit flush against it, so I won’t have any problems in that area. I’m open to any ideas, pictures of your sets if u have a similar e ring as me will be great too.
For the various ideas I’m exploring, I will put into the poll as options for voting. Feel free to suggest more ideas!

I had a ring very similar to yours for a minute. And this is the band I did with it. I thought it looked nice as a set.

Have you tried the Ring Matcher on Blue Nile’s site? You can see what a similar halo setting looks like with a few different wedding ring options. Fun, and a little bit addicting.Here–>bit.ly/BNRingMatcher

alabamagirl: thanks for sharing your pictures! Really helped me in visualizing how mine will look if I get a eternity band! Did you end up changing yor ring?

Chicpeas: I did. I have been married for 11 years and I wanted to reset my original diamond. The halo I chose (the one in the above picture), I saw with a much smaller diamond in it. And when I got it, it looked so odd on my finger (to me). It is/was a gorgeous ring for someone else. I needed more metal showing. So I ended up with something very similar. But with milgrain and engraving detail. But I kept that thin diamond band for my wedding ring.
Your ring is beautiful! I would try on a bunch of different bands and see what you prefer. It was a big deal to me for the band to look nice and clean on its own because I planned to wear just the band for exercise, the beach, etc.

I voted for the matching band. But i also think a scalloped band would look good too.

Chicpeas: Your ering is already gorgeously blingy. I think a plain metal band would balance it nicely. I voted for rose gold because I love mixed metals.
Also, it might be nice to have a plain band when it isn’t practical to wear pave.

- Wedding: A very pretty church.
You could go with a nearly plain band of the same/very similar width. Maybe with a little milgrain detailing at the edge?

Chicpeas: I adore the plain band I have for the practicality and will never solder then together. We plan to go camping a lot, and I’ll take of my e ring when we do. So that’s my vote.
I think your ring is gorgeously blingy, and a plain band will be a nice contrast.

Chicpeas: I voted for a plain mixed-metal band. I don’t have a halo, but my anniversary ring qualifies as “blingy”, I think. It is set in platinum and has a lot of diamonds on the setting. I wear it with diamond bands sometimes, (a .5 TCW 1/2 eternity and a 1.01TCW 5-stone band) but I also have a plain rose gold band that I often wear with it. I love the look of them together.
Your ERing is beautiful, and it will look wonderful with any of the choices you have posted. Do you have a chance to try on some of the different options you’ve listed in the poll? Maybe one of them will stand out more to you as the perfect one for your set once you see them on your finger or next to your ERing.
Honestly, I never would have thought I would like a plain band with my ring. I ordered my rose gold band online because it was such a good deal. In the beginning, I thought I would use it for stacking with my 1/2 eternity band. But, once I saw the two rings together, I ended up liking the look of it a lot.

I think that a matching micro pave diamond eternity band would look best. Your ring is lovely by the way.

I see your Fi agreed to getting you the upgrade you so badly wanted. Hope you now like and appreciate your ring, it’s lovely!
I vote matching, but I’m not a fan of unmatched diamond bands. Otherwise if you want plain band I think one on either side to balance it out would look nice.

mrssloan2013: yes I m contemplating scalloped so there is more contrast With the e ring but I dunno if there will be just too much details going on with my e ring. I see that you have contrasting bands from your display picture! Is that a scallop band?
