would love to have you all share your ideas! My fiancé proposed with this plain, simple, band (well- actually he proposed without a ring per one of my previous posts- but then he gifted me with this one!). Knowing that I’m extremely type A, he felt better having my involvement on the “blingy” ring (and I feel better about it too, honestly) – so we’re kind of doing things backwards… band first, bling at the wedding! So now that I have so many options, I can’t decide. What would you do? Would you get a more traditional solitaire ring to go with the band (“engagement ring as wedding band”)? A three stone ring? Pave band? Five stone ring? Throw some ideas my way and show me what you’ve got!!

If it were me, I would chooese either three stone or solitaire! 😀

I actually love my solitaire but I am currently doing a three diamond trilogy project, you will honestly have to try on all types of designs and diamond shapes in order to find what you are comfortable with. Some people fine their lifestyle does not suit certain types of settings or even alloys (working with chemicals can break down gold) so a bit of fore thought goes into the setting.
Here is my collection an oval 4 prong micro pave, round 6 prong cathedral solitaire, and a marquise trilogy. It will take time to pick the stone shape you like the most so don’t rush it and have fun trying on all the bling!
Out of my three the pave is my least favorite for some reason…

beeingpatient123 : I’m a bit biased, but I LOVE my 3-stone!

A solitaire, three stone or five stone ring would look great! Biased because I’ve had a solitaire and a five stone. I want a plain wedding band and eventually would like to have a seven stone bezel band next to it 🙂
heres my five stone next to my previous solitaire for reference, still have the 5 stone and plan to pair it with a plain thin platinum knife edge band or just a comfort fit plat band

It depends on what you want to go for and what you like. I think you could get any ring and it would look good with the one you have because that ring is simple. Do you want a ring that has a large center and is raised above your finger? Would you prefer a blingy band that sits low to your hand?
I kind of like the look of several stacked bands, so if you aren’t set on a ring with a large center stone you could get an eternity band of some kind so that you stack two bands together, one blingy and one plain.

I like your fiance’s idea! Clever man 😊
I think a solitaire would look beautiful, however as you can see from my set I am a little bit biased towards solitaires!

Thank you all for the great reponses and sharing the beautiful rings! I guess I’m going to have to go out and try on a whole bunch of different options… oh darn! I do think I’m leaning toward a higher sitting solitaire or three stone. It’s so fun to think about the options I have to work with. Thanks for sharing some ideas!
