Ok, bees. My wedding is June 23rd. THIS YEAR! I am soo torn between two pieces of bridal jewelry. Let me paint a little picture.
My dress is a neutral ivory raw silk dress. I’m wearing red lipstick and red nails. Both with berrie undertones but the colors don’t look like winter. They are still bright enough to be spring. The groomsmen are wearing maroon ties and similar pocket handkerchiefs.
I have a yellow gold engagement ring and band to go with it.
I am torn between the jewlery below.
One is a set- made in poland. They are beautiful and are made of crystal, silk and stainless steel. The others are a textured 14k gold. I know either would work but they are both are so beautiful. I’m very attracted to the silk and maroon earings and hair piece because I think they go beautfully with my makup/nails and the mens clothes. Also, because my dress is just silk ( t shirt neckline- no sleeves, open back, natural waist, full skirt and a 3 ft train) I thought they could add a bit of ” something” to complete the look. I really love them.
However- I equally LOVE the idea of just a beautiful real gold statement earing. I considered doing the hair piece and the gold. I’m so torn. I would love to hear your thoughts!
Price isn’t a factor- neither are cheap.

I’d go with the top. The bottom are a statement, but they may overpower u our photos and up up being dated when you look back as the style is more fashion /costume. I’d stay classic.

daliah12 : bottom photo for sure. Especially if your lipstick/nails are red or bright red..it may contrast with the different shade of red on earrings.

Bottom definately. If you add more red touches, it will scream more winter time wedding.

I’d go for the top pair, they are unbelievably gorgeous! I would love seeing pictures of those for years to come. The gold earrings remind me of costume jewelry but maybe if we had a size reference that would change. They look totally large and overpowering in the photo.

Is it an option to do top for the ceremony and bottom for the reception? I wore smaller jewelry for a more understated and classic ceremony look, then took off my lace jacket and added major statement bling for the reception and it was fun! It felt like I had two looks…. but only paid for one! (It was all inherited jewelry)
if you have to pick one, go top for sure!

Maybe seeing the dress may help people decide..?
Without seeing the dress, I would go with the gold because you said you have yellow gold rings. Also – I find the top set to be quite casual and indian boho – they look like cheap market style jewellery to me and I know you said they arent cheap – thats how they look to me.
Maybe a plain diamond (or CZ) large stud would suit? But would need to see the dress to be sure…

Of the two choices, I’d go for the top.
The bottom earrings look more like costume jewelry even though they are gold. Maybe they are smaller than they appear in the photo, but they do look rather large. Depending how big they are, twenty years from now when you look at your photos you might wish you had something more classic.
I do love them however! I was in high school/college in the 80s and early 90s and we all used to wear earrings that looked like these.

Top for sure. The gold earrings look like they’re 80s clip ons. Don’t kill me!
