They’re all very different. Do you have pictures of you in any of them? Everyone has different tastes on the dress itself, so it would help to see which one flatters you the most.

@xSparr0w:  Do you have a particular wedding theme in mind?

You never know once you try it on. I wanted a dropwaist/mermaid/fitted dress and when I went to try it on, ALL of them looked terrible on me. I went with a ballgown even though it was the last thing I wanted. It was gorgeous.

Take all your expectations and throw them out the window. Just go with an open mind and have fun 🙂

What;s your body type? I love #2, but some dresses are more flattering than others depending on body type!

I don’t really know, since there are no photos of you, but I voted #2. Neither 1 nor 3 are my style/preference, but if they were, then #1 is prettier. #3 looks like droopy skin.

I like number 1 and 2 best, though 2 is a little plain to me. I think I only consider it boring though because I’m over all of these lace dresses that you see everywhere right now.

You never know until you try them on though – some things look great on a model and not so good on a ‘regular’ person. Other times a model doesn’t do the dress justice and it ends up looking better on real brides. A lot of people have a style or silouette in mind and then up with something totally different. I would keep picking out favorites though – I am one of those people that chose a favorite dress online and it ended up being the one I got, despite trying on many others.

Of these choices, I like #2 best.  #1 and 3 strike me as a bit old-fashioned, like a hoop skirt from Gone with the Wind.  If that’s what you love, though, don’t let anyone sway you….we all have our own opinion and there’s no right or wrong (although I do think that the dress should nod to the style of wedding in general, but again, that’s just me).  When you go to try on some dresses, try on every shape/silouhette with an open mind and go from there.  I wouldn’t rule out a ballgown because I think that in every silouhette you can find styles that are simple, not simple, blingy, textured, lacy, modern, classic, vintage etc etc.

I love the lace dress, can’t really get on board with the other ones because I personally dislike pick-ups and that kind of princess taffeta type dress. But I adore lace dresses, and I think if you have a small bust that lace number will be perfect. A girl with a larger bust would struggle to be able to do a backless dress like that, whereas a smaller girl can get away with just sewn-in cups at the front.
