So my wedding is in 10 days and I still haven’t decided what to walk down the aisle too. My wedding is very small: 25-30 people in attendance and no bridal party whatsoever. So it will just be my dad and I walking down. This is an outdoor ceremony (so no church stuff or anything remotely religious), followed by a cocktail hour, followed by a fancy sitdown dinner. I don’t want the traditional bridal music. I do have my top 2 choices which I will share with you guys, and I’d like if you could tell me which you perfer, but I’m also open to other suggestions.
So choice one is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgaTQ5-XfMM It’s the Piano Guys cover of A Thousand Years but Christina Perri. I like this one a lot, but I am worried that everyone’s first thought will be: “Twilight!” and I’m unsure how I feel about that.
Choice two is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrZsU7x1aFk This is the Vitamin String Quartet cover of Don’t Stop Believing. I like this one because 1) I think it’s pretty and it’s one of my favorite songs and 2) because it sort of describes us but backwards. He’s the small town “girl” and I’m the city “boy”.
But idk which to pick. I think I like the first one slighly more but again I’m worried about the Twilight connotation. What do you guys think? Also, other songs are much appreciated as long as they are instrumental as I don’t want any lyrics whatsoever. Thanks!

So ultimately it comes down to what style of processional you want.
Fiance and I differ, he wants something sweet and romantic, I want something a bit more “upbeat”. We are still looking for something we both LOVE. (I actually had a bit of a moment on these boards about it)
With that in mind I would choose the second option. But both are beautiful choices.

A thousand years has been used in a lot of weddings. Going by what previous brides have said since the song came out. It is over done.
Don’t stop believing is a fun song. At the end of the day pick a song you both like and means to you as a couple.

Personally I love the Piano Guys’ cover of A Thousand Years. It has been done a lot, but that’s just because it’s so perfect for a wedding. Unless you’re concerned about being unique, I’d go with it. I don’t think that people will be thinking of Twilight, especially since it’s a piano cover. Unless perhaps your circle loves Twilight, but I know in my circle no one would have any clue that song was in Twilight.

Good point! The wedding is only family so the majority of the guests are older so maybe they won’t have seen it. My mom had no idea what the song was when I showed her.

Thank you for your opinion! I am still torn. Like you, Fiance is more of the romantic and I’m more of the upbeat person. He prefers A Thousand Years but said he’d be fine with whatever I decided.

Personally I believe that the cover by the piano guys is more appropriate for walking down the aisle. Out of those two that is the one that I would choose for sure
