I ordered my Bridesmaid or Best Man dress from forhimandforher.com and my dress was really well tailored, actually all of our dresses were. I considered ordering a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress from them in white for my wedding. They have a heap of styles and a fast track option… in case you wanted to have a look. 🙂

The David’s is so much more flattering! The ivory one doesn’t flatter your figure and it also is a very mature look…
Good luck!

Have you checked out BHLDN sale dresses or BHLDN on pre-used dress sites? I think they would have something similar to what you, with minimal alterations. The grey dress is sooo pretty on you but it seems like you are not sold on color? I think you have a great shape and the ivory dress does not capture that in the same way 🙂

Send them both back bee. You have a great figure, and neither are right.
Also you can always get a lace bolero or mesh sleeves for your arms, so don’t rule out dresses you like because of the arms. Mesh bodysuits are everywhere right now!
I second BHLDN, and I’d look at Nordstrom too. And how about Rent the Runway? They have more bridal styles but I loved these sleeves and the Jackie o neckline.

a2eab : I did try BHLDN — actually ordered a gown from them that I ended up sending back. My issue with them is that their gowns are insanely beautiful on the models, but my figure is so much different (short and thick) that the one I ordered looked completely different on me. I will keep checking their site, though — I’m basically obsessed with everything they offer. 😀

futuremrspk : if you are petite, order a dress made for petites! It will make all of the difference, esp if you’re a bit short-waisted (speaking from experience here).
There are so many dresses that would look fantastic on you- you do not look thick at all!

Bee, there are several dresses “in stock” (I assume this means they will come in more quickly than a special order) in ivory at David’s with similar lines to the grey dress. I agree with the other posters that the ivory dress just doesn’t flatter your lovely shape like the grey dress does, but the grey just just doesn’t scream bridal.
These are the two bridesmaids dresses that are similar.

There is also this DB Studio dress that is beautiful and very affordable!

If you’re worried about the temperature (or covering your upper arms) why not consider a lace overlay, bolero, or wrap? There are some lovely options I’ve seen floating around the boards though I can’t remember the sites others suggested for purchasing off the top of my head.
I’m sure you’ll look beautiful in whatever you pick, bee! Just make sure it’s something YOU love and that you don’t settle!

I really would recommend you to look for a third option. I don’t like the shape of the ivory gown at all, it is looking sort of frumpy and not very flattering. I like the skirt of the gray gown, but I am not a fan of the color or of the top part and the overall impression of it is bridesmaid. If in any way possible, please do consider finding a third option!

futuremrspk : I don’t love the kyionna dress. The Davids bridal dress is beautiful on you and flattering.
If you wanted to add sleeves due to the weather you could ask David’s bridal to order in extra matching lace and fabric for you. Mist bridal salons and designers will offer this service for alterations. You can then add sleeves with this extra fabric.

Based on all honest responses here, they are both going back. I have time to try more options and find one I really love (it’s like dating and ultimately meeting my Fiance — I’ll just know, right? :p ). Thanks for all the feedback. <3

Are there any bridal consignment stores where you live? within a decent drive? There may be something there?
