- Wedding: September 2013
We rented a house for an outdoor reception. The house is in malibu and faces a gorgeous ocean and mountain view. It’s also hosted about 2-3 weddings before us. Saw the site today and got very nervous about fitting all the tables. Definitely having to forgo my dream long tables for rounds but I’m over that.
The place has three “levels”: the top up near the house is about 45 feet long and 22 feet at its widest. The middle has a small area about 22 ft long and 11ft at its widest, 9 feet at its smallest area. And the bottom where the ceremony will be held is pretty huge.
My thought is 4 tables up top. 1-2 tables or sweetheart in middle. And 5-6 tables down at the bottom. ALL chairs from ceremony will need to be moved to tables. Bottom tables only will need to be setup during cocktail hour. I have a lot of hands on deck between the staff and willing family/friends but I’m nervous.
Words of wisdom/encouragement ?
