I need help figuring out what kind of veil to look for. My dress is the David’s Bridal style WG3121. I intend to have my face covered with the veil in the Jewish ceremony called bedeken. This veiling is done by the groom, so the veil has to attach in such a way that he would be able to lower the blusher portion easily himself and then raise it again halfway through the ceremony. My dress has a lot of beading and organza ruching at the bust, so the veil needs to be simple and needs fall in such a way that it looks nice over the bust ruching when down and next to it when back. My hair will be up.
I need suggestions for the veil length, style, and placement.
I am considering a drop veil because I feel that the lack of gathers on the veil will add a nice simple touch to an already elaborate dress. I’m not 100% sure if a drop veil will be easy to attach, lower, and raise though. I’ve heard there is an option to get a drop veil with a comb, but I’m not where to request the placement of the comb in that case. Maybe I should go with a center-gathered two-tiered veil instead and ask for minimal “fluff” at the comb?
Can I get some suggestions or stories from your own experience with a beaded dress and/or a bedeken?
